Gary Busey is an American actor best known for his roles in Point Break and The Buddy Holly Story, and his reputation for bizarre behaviour.
After growing up in Oklahoma, he attended Kansas State University on a football scholarship, but his dreams of pursuing a career in professional sports were shattered after injuring his knee. He then moved to Hollywood to pursue a music career, but acting beckoned.
After securing several small roles in both film and television during the 1970s, he made his film debut in Angels Hard As They Come in 1971. Following this he starred as the lead in The Buddy Holly Story, which led to him winning an Academy Award nomination.
Later in Gary’s acting career, he took on more sinister roles in the action thrillers Lethal Weapon (1987), Predator 2 (1990), and of course Point Break (1991), with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. He also played a cameo role as himself in the comedy Entourage.
Gary had a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1989 after he rode without a helmet. This resulted in the enactment of stricter helmet laws in the State of California.
The accident split his skull open and he was taken to hospital for immediate surgery. Gary claims that his brain got altered – it was a wake-up call to get his life in order and to appreciate it. He recovered two and a half months earlier than predicted, and says his faith was the reason.
Gary has three children – son Jake with his first wife Judy, daughter Alectra with Tracy Hutchinson and son Luke with his wife Steffanie Sampson. He has black belts in budo-jujitsu, capoeira, hapkido, and kendo.

As far as Dee and David calling Gary manipulative, what a JOKE !! Both Dee and David are “as thick as pig….” and neither are Celebrities. I cannot believe either of them have any supporters, if so, there is no future for CBB.

James is so 😀 Gary didn’t ask for his help,the same way he didn’t ask for David’s. Don’t force yourself on people ask them politely if they want or need any help and accept their answer. Also who pretends to act chivalrous and caring then keeps a list to read off to people to big himself up.

Gary you are the only real star in the house, I mean a movie star and you should be revered for that. We all get older and suffer physical difficulties that doesn’t make us bad people. I hope you stay strong in there and know that you are worth far more than those who are labelling you. They are worth nothing and will never experience an iota of your notoriety. I hope James, Stephanie and David’s parents are ashamed of how their offspring treat their elders, it’s disgusting!
Gary probably has an invisible hearing aid but pretends to be deaf so he can eavesdrop! He is a manipulator. If he was suffering any serious health conditions he wouldn’t be there. Gary is just taking the starring role in The Gary Busey Show and it’s not worth watching

I think you are completely incorrect !
My missus is only 30% deaf in her left ear , she also had a mini stroke about 6 months ago and has some minor brain damage , “we are both only 40″
She finds it very hard to hear me or get what I’m saying sometimes and I have to speak slow & clearly , I found this very frustrating at the start !
” I also have thought my missus had selective hearing ” BECAUSE sometimes she gets me fine and others not ! But the doctors have told me that when you have partial hearing loss in just ONE ear it can be very confusing , also because of the slight brain damage it makes thinks slightly worse ,
I REALLY do think Gary is far worse health wise than my missus !
So give Some RESPECT ! Gary is 70 and with serious health problems !

Gary is not game playing, it’s ridiculous that some people on here think so……If you have a hearing impairment you can often hear others on a one to one basis as long as there is no background noise, add other people to the mix, all chattering together and it just becomes one big noise. This happens to partially deaf people either with or without a hearing aid…….You can clearly see Gary struggling when there is a group conversation going on, it’s hard to watch, bless him. Where is your heart people?
As someone who also has hearing difficulties I don’t find anything strange in what he says. If you are speaking with one person and others around are loud you won’t be able to hear them!@Bammy
