Gary Busey is an American actor best known for his roles in Point Break and The Buddy Holly Story, and his reputation for bizarre behaviour.
After growing up in Oklahoma, he attended Kansas State University on a football scholarship, but his dreams of pursuing a career in professional sports were shattered after injuring his knee. He then moved to Hollywood to pursue a music career, but acting beckoned.
After securing several small roles in both film and television during the 1970s, he made his film debut in Angels Hard As They Come in 1971. Following this he starred as the lead in The Buddy Holly Story, which led to him winning an Academy Award nomination.
Later in Gary’s acting career, he took on more sinister roles in the action thrillers Lethal Weapon (1987), Predator 2 (1990), and of course Point Break (1991), with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. He also played a cameo role as himself in the comedy Entourage.
Gary had a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1989 after he rode without a helmet. This resulted in the enactment of stricter helmet laws in the State of California.
The accident split his skull open and he was taken to hospital for immediate surgery. Gary claims that his brain got altered – it was a wake-up call to get his life in order and to appreciate it. He recovered two and a half months earlier than predicted, and says his faith was the reason.
Gary has three children – son Jake with his first wife Judy, daughter Alectra with Tracy Hutchinson and son Luke with his wife Steffanie Sampson. He has black belts in budo-jujitsu, capoeira, hapkido, and kendo.

why dont he have a hearing aid if he cant hear sorry but these are celebrities right? Have earnt loadsa money? Cant even get a hearing aid before going in. It will cause problems cos he will have to lean closer to the ladies to hear them

So bb have put a washed up, waay past it hollywood actor with a previous drink/drug problem in the house, it’s about time and I am so glad they chose Gary Busey because he is a genuine hollywood star, he really has lived a hard life and he’s a bit crazy and well cool.

I find old Hollywood drug casualties a bit sad & not very entertaining.
Just watching him struggle to formulate a sentence is hard work.

I am very concerned about Gary when he first went in on the live show I thought he was messing aboult but as I have been watching him he worrys me very much he’s not right I don’t think he should be in the house around these people I fill very sorry for him his not well did the producers not see anything when they chose him for the show or maybe they just thought it would make good tv or something because I can not see any reason why they would allow a man in this state to enter the house I think he needs to see a doctor strait away iam sorry if people read this and don’t agree but that’s how I fill I feel so sorry for him I just want to go in there and get him out he’s so confused and just not right

Pull yourself together! Channel 5 and Big brother never forced him onto the show did they. He chose to enter the house and yes he’s old, but he’s still the one responsible for himself.
Why should Big brother be slated in the papers? They haven’t done anything wrong? It’s silly to say the they have exploited a sick old man, because, really he’s the one who has chosen to exploit himself, not anyone else… Maybe I’m not a sympathetic person, that’s the way I see it.
I don’t really like him. He keeps telling people to be quiet. It’s patronising and rude.. Don’t like it especially when older people do it.
