Gary Busey is an American actor best known for his roles in Point Break and The Buddy Holly Story, and his reputation for bizarre behaviour.

After growing up in Oklahoma, he attended Kansas State University on a football scholarship, but his dreams of pursuing a career in professional sports were shattered after injuring his knee. He then moved to Hollywood to pursue a music career, but acting beckoned.

After securing several small roles in both film and television during the 1970s, he made his film debut in Angels Hard As They Come in 1971. Following this he starred as the lead in The Buddy Holly Story, which led to him winning an Academy Award nomination.

Later in Gary’s acting career, he took on more sinister roles in the action thrillers Lethal Weapon (1987), Predator 2 (1990), and of course Point Break (1991), with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. He also played a cameo role as himself in the comedy Entourage.

Gary had a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1989 after he rode without a helmet. This resulted in the enactment of stricter helmet laws in the State of California.

The accident split his skull open and he was taken to hospital for immediate surgery. Gary claims that his brain got altered – it was a wake-up call to get his life in order and to appreciate it. He recovered two and a half months earlier than predicted, and says his faith was the reason.

Gary has three children – son Jake with his first wife Judy, daughter Alectra with Tracy Hutchinson and son Luke with his wife Steffanie Sampson. He has black belts in budo-jujitsu, capoeira, hapkido, and kendo.

Totally agree, I really like Gary he is quite a character the smarmy boys need to back off and try entertaining us instead of forming a mean girls group and ridiculing him!@Henry

Why don’t you do what you said you would do and stop speaking to him. It’s getting a bit boring trying to find the discussion amongst your inane diatribe!@Peter G

The mean boys don’t deserve respect. Who the hell does James think he is,prima doña. They should not have treated Gary like that, two wrongs don’t make a right. BB tried to get through to James last night but the guy is so up himself they failed miserably. @Violet

Yes, it’s so unsettling to watch, I was hoping that maybe Dee would have sussed out the situation & been a support for Gary. That David is just so “up himself” and an ignoramus.

I think the problem with Gary and the other guys is more of a culture clash than anything else,
In Anerican culture (in general terms) the way they speak to eachother can be perceived as rude,
A good Anolagy is,..an American can walk into a bar and say, “gimme a beer” the barman won’t take offence, he,ll probably say “yes sir” or ” coming right up, there will be no please or thank you,…..to an American that would be a perfectly normal acceptable behaviour ,
Now if a British guy walked into a pub and said “gimme a beer” he’s going to be perceived as a rude arrogant as*hole!, so that’s the difference between our cultures
When Gary says the he says he really dosent see anything wrong with it because that’s the way he’s spoken and been spoken to, all his life, to him it’s perfectly normal, it’s his culture !!
I think they should all try and find some middle ground and be more accepting to eachothers way of life!!
I can’t see that happening though! Because David and James are to wrapped up in there own massive ego,s and they probably see it (in game play terms) as a good way to beat down the opposition! They have shamelessly picked on the old guy, tossers,
And Gary is to set in his ways to change, but then again why should he, just to appease a couple of muppets, he is who he is,
I like Gary, I hope he comes out on top of the idiots …

The Americans seam to think its ok for them to interrupt in a conversations, but get angry if anyone tries to join in their conversation. I suppose this is part of their culture also.

I think it actually depends on where you live in America. I have always found the Americans in the Southern states extremely polite, friendly and courteous but got a shock in New York where the waiters, assistants in shops etc seem to bark at you. Never have time to say hi,have a nice day etc. Also in New York more likely to hear the f word used in everyday speech, just a change in emphasis telling you if they were joking or being serious for example the phrase wtf could be a greeting or challenge, rather disconcerting.
Personally I just think James is the problem in the house he is so arrogant and is stirring up negative feeling towards Gary.

” We don’t talk like this in this country” flip in heck, where as James been living.
It seems no matter what Gary does, james is ready to pounce on him, and now the burly body builder guy as to join in to show he is just as tough as James…
James is a bully picking on the vulnerable one, it probably stems from his early years when he was the school bully….

    Hi,,
I would like to make a very serious point, after watching for few day s I am very seriously concerned over the abuse of Gary,, especially the two guys that were aggressive over Gary pionting and shushing ,, maybe someone should remember if that was there grandad they would pay much more respect ,, it seems to me this is a witch hunt for Gary and I think bb should be pulling up the people for bullying him,, he is 70 years old and been through a lot in life and lived the high life so is it cus they are intimidated by him and feel the need to front him,,, and make a deal of a man of 70 and hard of hearing etc,, I am disgusted with the people in there especially the two guys in queastion ,, y be so aggressive to someone who has done nothing offensive and just respect his age and the fact for 70 he got such a good and funny way of doing things ,,, hope I got that same attitude when I am 70 I know my gran kids will love crazy ole gdad , I don’t think anything Gary has done would be construed as wrong an if I was in the house I wouldn’t give two shits of what viewers thought I would jump to his defence,,, u have pulled people in past for bullying but u r tiptoeing around y should some muscle bound guy get so disrespectfull and aggressive to a
    guy of 70,,

Anyway I will be voicing this every way possible…
He is a trooper and still ther even though he gettin abuse from people who r just making big deal over nothing,,,
U need to sort this out as this is on national TV and don’t think u realise bullying is an offence in this country so ure duty is not let that happen ,,
    Go Gary

    BB & it’s annoying f****ng twists.
Thought this one would be crap.

But allowing a 70 year old man with obvious health problems to sleep outside during the night, with the inevitable temperature drops is just cruelty.

Who are these irresponsible, dumb wankers who come up with this shit.

The rest of the housemate’s having a party in the warmth to rub it in.

Words fail me, this show is the pits. Is this supposed to be entertaining.

In my opinion James Jordan’s dancing career is over when he leaves the bb house.
A lot of the judges on dance contests are quite elderly and will take great offence at his immature, digusting, disrespectful behaviour so I would say that he has butt f@cked his chances of success in his dancing profession completely.
    He is a total prick.
    Fact.
