Gary Busey is an American actor best known for his roles in Point Break and The Buddy Holly Story, and his reputation for bizarre behaviour.
After growing up in Oklahoma, he attended Kansas State University on a football scholarship, but his dreams of pursuing a career in professional sports were shattered after injuring his knee. He then moved to Hollywood to pursue a music career, but acting beckoned.
After securing several small roles in both film and television during the 1970s, he made his film debut in Angels Hard As They Come in 1971. Following this he starred as the lead in The Buddy Holly Story, which led to him winning an Academy Award nomination.
Later in Gary’s acting career, he took on more sinister roles in the action thrillers Lethal Weapon (1987), Predator 2 (1990), and of course Point Break (1991), with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. He also played a cameo role as himself in the comedy Entourage.
Gary had a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1989 after he rode without a helmet. This resulted in the enactment of stricter helmet laws in the State of California.
The accident split his skull open and he was taken to hospital for immediate surgery. Gary claims that his brain got altered – it was a wake-up call to get his life in order and to appreciate it. He recovered two and a half months earlier than predicted, and says his faith was the reason.
Gary has three children – son Jake with his first wife Judy, daughter Alectra with Tracy Hutchinson and son Luke with his wife Steffanie Sampson. He has black belts in budo-jujitsu, capoeira, hapkido, and kendo.

Gary is great TV – never lets anyone rile him. And has some classic one liners – I wish he could have been in the house with Chris they would have been great philosophising with other.

Gary deserves to win, if ONLY for putting up with all the crap from a group of self centered, loud mouthed, talentless nobodies (excluding Audley, Claire and Edele and even Leslie, who I didn’t like but at least IS a celebrity.)
How dare nobodies like Dee and George and the rest presume to speak to an elderly man as they do to Gary, even if he wasn’t a star, it would still be utterly disgusting.

I think Gary is crazy, funny, entertaining and full of humility. Which are great traits for a housemate to bestow.
I don’t want to be completely biased in my opinions but I really think the other housemates should make allowances for his frailties, even if they don’t understand the degree of his head injuries, they SHOULD be more tolerant because of his age. – for common decency alone.
If someone is cruel to the elderly, to the young or to animals its says more about them than it does about their ‘target’
That said I would also be more than happy to see Audley win, what a nice kind, genuinely sensible guy.

It shows how brainless some of the other hms are. They hear the cheers that Gary receives on an eviction night and you`d think would realise how popular he is yet continue to chastise and bully him. Each time they do they dig a bigger hole for themselves. Gary is one of the few who will leave the house with any respect. Come on Gary 🙂

Gary to win, the rest are so spiteful and have no respect for their elders. Gary is the only one who has not used the F word etc , he is a true gent.
Dee and the other women are so up their own backsides they need to be evicted and soon. As for the little T**T Leslie he is so jealous of Gary it’s unreal, glad to see him given the boot first.

Gary is brilliant! He deserves to win 100% he has tolerated being bullied from most of the others & still is so passive. It’s disgusting how CBB has allowed this to continue. James constantly bullies gary to the point of it being upsetting to watch. Dee saying she wants to “smash” his face in, disgusting! Threatening an OAP showing her true colours now! They are vile to gary & it’s embarrassing that USA can watch this & feel that CBB is allowing this to happen. James & dee should be evicted to send out the message that bullying is not acceptable…

Please keep Gary in to the end as he is the only one able to goad the others into revealing their true colours. The others are too thick to realise they are playing into the public’s hands by flying off the handle every time Gary gets under their skin.
Yes, Gary is eccentric but at least, as somebody else has pointed out, he can express himself without the F word, and he doesn’t appear to have a bad bone in his body.
