Ashleigh is confrontational and believes she can’t be led into thinking something or having her opinion swayed.
Ashleigh works part time in a boutique clothes shop in Derry. She is also signed to a modelling agency and does modelling work in her free time. Her dream job would be to become a well-known model, ‘but I know the chances of that are slim’. She would also love to set up her own events management and wedding planning business.
Ashleigh has always lived in the same area, and currently resides on a council estate, which is one of the factors she says gives her the drive to push further in her career. She spends her money on clothes, shoes and her dog Gucci. She is a vegetarian and is a big fundraiser for a re-homing centre for cats and dogs due to her love of animals.
Ashleigh would rather have love than money because ‘you always see celebrities who have enough money to feed the world and they’re unhappy’. Her worst trait is that she talks about herself too much – her mum and boyfriend are always telling her off about it. She also says she sometimes forces her opinions on others. She is pro-abortion and has strong views which are generally not accepted among her community.
A typical weekend would be seeing her boyfriend or a friend on Friday night, shopping on Saturday and clubbing in the evening, then lazing around on Sunday. She is fortunate enough to ‘not really suffer from hangovers’.
As a housemate, Ashleigh thinks she’ll be ‘young and bubbly’, but people sometimes refer to her as ‘airy fairy’ which she thinks could annoy older people in the house. If there were any arguments in the house, she would ‘always be on the side of the underdog’.
Ashleigh wouldn’t get on with lazy people, unhygienic people and those who don’t clean up after themselves. She also wouldn’t like bullies or people who would make her time in the house hard.
Ashleigh says if she won Big Brother she would donate some of her winnings to charity, buy a nice car and take her family on holiday somewhere sunny.

Ashleigh makes herself the victim through her own attitude and comments – playing the ‘victim’ card is one of the reasons I’ve never taken to her.

Say what you like about John but he is never rude and sets out his argument/points well. I think he is a good guy personally.
So many people on here write messages with such venom and hatred (Nathan to you for example), what saddens me more than anything is they don’t even realise they are more like the person they are attacking than the vision they have of themselves being so perfect.

I think Ashleigh probably needs to separate from Danielle, not because Danielle is a bad influence but because they have gotten into the habit of isolating themselves from the group. Ashleigh opened up so much at the Christmas party and had fun with the whole group which was great to see

Why do you feel Ashleigh plays the victim? Surely if she was a “victim” she would have sat there and wept when Kim voted her the biggest liar and whatnot during the seance, rather than announcing infront of everyone that Steven could do a lot better :conf:

Fair point in that instance, but up until them she had been doing the tears and moaning about it all etc. I think she played the ‘I’m an 18 year old who loves pink etc’ card for the rest of the house to see, then showed a totally different side in the diary room or with Danielle about her ‘evil’ plan and how much she hates Helen and co.

I don’t think the fact that Ashleigh is 18 counts for much. She’s not a child, and she would probable insulted by anyone who treated her like one
If i was in there i would separate myself from the rest of the group also! Apart from a few they are the nastiest bunch of housemates i can remember in a long time! They separate themselves from ash and Helen because they cant stand them hardly surprising really!@jazz

Whether it be on this sight or how we react to the house mates when they come out, I think we need to remember that are actions and words could have a huge impact on somebodies life even if what we think we’ve said or done is minor. This video is just about how kids but even adults can feel this way. When Helen gets out people will probably try to make her life hell. People make mistakes
