Ashleigh is confrontational and believes she can’t be led into thinking something or having her opinion swayed.

Ashleigh works part time in a boutique clothes shop in Derry. She is also signed to a modelling agency and does modelling work in her free time. Her dream job would be to become a well-known model, ‘but I know the chances of that are slim’. She would also love to set up her own events management and wedding planning business.

Ashleigh has always lived in the same area, and currently resides on a council estate, which is one of the factors she says gives her the drive to push further in her career. She spends her money on clothes, shoes and her dog Gucci. She is a vegetarian and is a big fundraiser for a re-homing centre for cats and dogs due to her love of animals.

Ashleigh would rather have love than money because ‘you always see celebrities who have enough money to feed the world and they’re unhappy’. Her worst trait is that she talks about herself too much – her mum and boyfriend are always telling her off about it. She also says she sometimes forces her opinions on others. She is pro-abortion and has strong views which are generally not accepted among her community.

A typical weekend would be seeing her boyfriend or a friend on Friday night, shopping on Saturday and clubbing in the evening, then lazing around on Sunday. She is fortunate enough to ‘not really suffer from hangovers’.

As a housemate, Ashleigh thinks she’ll be ‘young and bubbly’, but people sometimes refer to her as ‘airy fairy’ which she thinks could annoy older people in the house. If there were any arguments in the house, she would ‘always be on the side of the underdog’.

Ashleigh wouldn’t get on with lazy people, unhygienic people and those who don’t clean up after themselves. She also wouldn’t like bullies or people who would make her time in the house hard.

Ashleigh says if she won Big Brother she would donate some of her winnings to charity, buy a nice car and take her family on holiday somewhere sunny.

    @John Kane @Bob

    I made a comment on Kim’s page earlier, it really does seem that this years BB should be renamed Made in Elstree – Starring Helen Wood………

    But if another channel syndicate can take it over and it survives until next year, will both of you please go into the house?! I think it would be superb viewing (maybe Wally could join later just to stir things up?) What do you think?

    @Jane Shepherd I like to think I’m intelligent enough to play the game and get on very well in Big Brother.

    I think the reality is, if I was in there with someone like Helen, I’d end up swapping the Big Brother house for one at Her Majesties pleasure.

    I’m not sure, I do know by reading his comments that he has a strong right arm.

    @Jane Shepherd
    It would be interesting but honestly I’d never put myself in that position. I’m just happy to watch.

    I think both of you have the intelligence to make the final. And John despite all the protestations, pretty much all of which I agree with, I don’t think you would ever hit a woman (even if she is called Wood)

    Now Wally on the other hand?………..

    Maybe he will make a comment later.

    @Jane Shepherd I suppose it depends what you class as a woman.

    I’m merely jest of course.

    I appreciate the vote of confidence and maybe if I was ten years younger and responsibility free I would consider it (although I never did when I WAS ten years younger and responsibility free so I don’t know why I said that).

    I couldn’t leave my little Princess for three months, no matter what the potential reward at the end of it.

    I think children are as good a reason as any – if not better not to do something like bb. I’m not saying Helen doesn’t love her son but when she saw pics (assuming of him) she seemed surprised at how emotional it made her feel. I was surprised at her surprise – surely its normal?

    John, I think you’d be interesting to watch but then we wouldn’t have the pleasure of your comments on here so stay out with your daughter (unless Princess is the name of your goldfish lol) and with us :up:

    @Saz @Sarah Hughes I’m staying out here, don’t worry about that.

    Cheers for the nice comments guys.

    @john Kane – all others
    I apologise for making the comment it was intended to be slightly tongue in cheek, although I do believe it would make good viewing!
    John I would never subject anyone who’s opinions and values kind of mirror my own to take part in BB now, it just shows how far BB has changed since the original concept, there was really no malice or debauchery originally. So maybe we can learn to be better parents?? – Don’t mean to patronise but I admire your commitment John to your daughter. You sound like a good Father.

    @Jane Shepherd Cheers Jane, but there was absolutely no apology necessary.

    Secretly I think I’d make a great housemate too!

    Ha ha, I’m playing of course.

    I fear for Ashleigh tonight, the little girls who vote will want her out. After that I’m done with BB.

    Can’t stand another second of watching the black hole of negativity that is Helen Wood.

    Completely ruined BB this year with that bullshit free pass. She’d have been first out otherwise.

    She’s like a malignant tumor, just can’t take any more of her bile, beginning to think the only way to get her out is with an Excorcist. :down: 😥 :down: 😥

    I love Ashleigh, she is like my younger sister. It is a shame that the older housemates don’t always seem to recognise how young she is. She is a tough cookie and a very beautiful girl, with a good fried or someone nice to look up to she would show more of the nice side of her personality also I reckon. The house is dominated by monsters this year!

    I think when the three witches of Eastwick ganged up on her in the garden, that worked massively in her favour, also to a lesser extent, jale sucking up to Helen worked against her.
    Helen is still the huge dividing factor in that house, if you’re with her- bad, against her- good.
    So glad Ashleigh stayed, obvious eye candy aside, she’s true to herself, not a phoney. Has a lot of guts for an 18 year old. :heart:

    Your name hahaha! So weird i commented on demand 5 on one of the bb episodes with a name “too many chavs voting” (well something like that).

    Anyways i totally agree with you ASHLEIGH TO WIN!

    I hope Ashleigh stays and Danielle is up – why on earth did Danielle not defend Ashleigh tonight when Helen started her latest tirade? Danielle is so shallow it sickens me.

  21. Liz says:

    @Jane Shepherd
    Yes but Ashleigh would really struggle without Danielle plus there are housemates that I would love to see go before Danielle such as Ash, Steven, Kimberley and of course that anti Christ one who has the free pass but that ain’t gonna happen!

  22. Jane Shepherd says:
    Report

    @Liz
    I understand what you are saying but I don’t think Ashleigh would struggle without Danielle.

    She is stronger than most and Danielle is isolating Ashleigh for her own means, have you not seen the many faces of Danielle? I agree that there are many I would like to see leave, but Ashleigh needs to separate from Danielle in an unobtrusive way and get her out. Keep friends close and enemies closer – If Ashleigh doesn’t spot it Danielle will manipulate her on their past friendship and will never have her back – as she so loves to preach.

    “Talking about yourself – getting mixed up over which of the many different people you write on here as? Loser.”

    The only person I see around here with multiple personalities is you Sarah Hughes… or should I say Ian.

    All of our housemate profiles have been moderated today – please remember that these comment spaces are here for you to debate the housemates and the show, and not blast each other. Thanks :happy:
