Gary Busey is an American actor best known for his roles in Point Break and The Buddy Holly Story, and his reputation for bizarre behaviour.
After growing up in Oklahoma, he attended Kansas State University on a football scholarship, but his dreams of pursuing a career in professional sports were shattered after injuring his knee. He then moved to Hollywood to pursue a music career, but acting beckoned.
After securing several small roles in both film and television during the 1970s, he made his film debut in Angels Hard As They Come in 1971. Following this he starred as the lead in The Buddy Holly Story, which led to him winning an Academy Award nomination.
Later in Gary’s acting career, he took on more sinister roles in the action thrillers Lethal Weapon (1987), Predator 2 (1990), and of course Point Break (1991), with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. He also played a cameo role as himself in the comedy Entourage.
Gary had a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1989 after he rode without a helmet. This resulted in the enactment of stricter helmet laws in the State of California.
The accident split his skull open and he was taken to hospital for immediate surgery. Gary claims that his brain got altered – it was a wake-up call to get his life in order and to appreciate it. He recovered two and a half months earlier than predicted, and says his faith was the reason.
Gary has three children – son Jake with his first wife Judy, daughter Alectra with Tracy Hutchinson and son Luke with his wife Steffanie Sampson. He has black belts in budo-jujitsu, capoeira, hapkido, and kendo.

Gary is the house scapegoat for the others. He is an easy target, elderly and partially deaf. I am disgusted at his treatment from the others. How he has kept his cool under fire for so long, I don’t know. Dee should set an example of how to act toward one’s elders, but then I catch myself and say DEE ? Dee who ? she is no one but a big fat mouth who sways between “my babies ” to attacking Gary. the majority of the house mates are so immature and childish. I respect Audley and I respect Gary. they are the real celebrities. the others are jealous of Gary’s fame and are trying to knock him down a peg. Well, you can’t take his fame and standing away from him. This show has been so dysfunctional and cringe worthy. the last BB show gave out good vibes and was a pleasure to watch. I had to turn off last night’s show after Dee’s attack on Gary and then BB calls her to the diary room and SHE cries ??!! If anyone deserves to cry, it is Gary for the onslaught he has faced from these nobodies. Shame on these people and shame on BB for exploiting this disgraceful treatment of an old man.

I should not take this so seriously but my son was badly bullied in school and has never recovered so I hate bullies in general it seems that they seem to seek out the vulnerable and get a gang round them for protection you never see a bully act alone. I am glad Audly is not the same but he could have done a bit more for Gary why do I say a bit more he really has done nothing as he is covering his ass but I do like him and if Gary does not win I do hope it is Audly.

Yes, Audley, has mentioned about peoples treatment of Gary, but it’s a bit late in the day isn’t it ? Why didn’t he put his viewpoint over weeks ago ? and just maybe the others might have been less judgemental & more understanding. 🙁 But I guess to this lot it would have gone in one ear & out the other as their all so self obsessed.

New clip shows task where they hear nominations. Of course it kicks off. Audley nommed Dee because of how she was with Gary. Lauren was dragged in then Dee said she only apologised because she thought Gary would have apologised to her. Gary said he hadn’t done anything he just wanted past her and she blocked his way! Had to laugh though when Gary said he’d take a polygraph(lie detector test) Dee said no you never Gary you never apologised! 😀 Gary repeated his comment but she still thought he said that he had apologised! Exactly who has the hearing problem !
