Michelle Visage is an American singer and TV personality, best known as a judge on popular drag queen talent competition RuPaul’s Drag Race.
She begun her career in the late 90s as a member of R&B and dance-pop girl group Seduction, whose biggest hit, ‘Two To Make It Right,’ reached number two on the Billboard charts. Follow-up singles ‘Heartbeat’ and ‘Could This Be Love’ reached 13 and 11 respectively.
The trio disbanded in 1991, and the next year Michelle provided vocals for The S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M. song ‘It’s Gonna Be A Lovely Day’, which was included in the soundtrack to iconic Whitney Houston film The Bodyguard.
The 46-year-old began her relationship with RuPaul in 1996 as a co-host of his VH1 talk show The RuPaul Show. In the 2000s she became a radio host on stations in New York City, Florida and Miami.
In 2011, Michelle joined Drag Race, which UK viewers can watch on Netflix. She describes herself as a “bitch with a heart of gold”.
Michelle is a massive fan of all things British, and has written about shows such as Celebrity Juice and The Only Way Is Essex on her blog. She’s also an avid viewer of Big Brother – admitting to have seen every series – and counts Nikki Grahame as one of her favourite housemates.
Now it’s her turn to take part, and it seems that RuPaul is getting behind her, as she reveals: “He’s excited for me because he knows what I bring to the party and he knows that I have got what it takes to stick it out.”
Michelle looks set to play the mediator in the house, as “there is so much turmoil in this world” – but she’s not too bothered about winning, as she has another goal in mind.
“I would love to win, but I’d love more for the British public to fall in love with me,” she says. “It’s not just about the win, I would just love them to want a bit more of me. That would make me so happy.”

I’m loving Michelle she is one of the few Americans who gets the Brits sense of humour,the only negative I have about her is her makeup,she is a beautiful woman who would look so much better with a softer look,but perhaps the harsh look makes her feel more ballsy. I love the way she has empathy but is no pushover,she can tell you like it is without being nasty or controversial. Take note Katie Hopkins and Perez!

I thought she stood a good chance of winning the first couple of days but she’s slowly having her strings pulled by Caty Hopkins and if she doesn’t wake up she’ll find herself slipping down the pecking order.

Do you have ANY idea what you’re talking about? Michelle has been the LGBT’s best ally in fights for a while now. She is Rupaul’s best friend and her family are all Drag Queens so she knows and loves those people for who they are.
Really went off her.. Liked her first few days and heard great things but she’s been a disappointment to me. Aligning herself with that little group was a mistake imo, defending Cami as well when she clearly heard what she said. She seems pretty two faced and false.
The ‘I love UK’ stuff, the earings, LGBT t-shirts, then crying because Perez is an ’embarrassment to gay people’… What a ridiculous thing to say, I really dislike Perez but who does she think she is? Imagine someone said ‘HousemateA is an embarrassment to Blacks, disabled, etc’? Not right.
