James is best known for his role as a professional dancer on hit BBC One talent contest Strictly Come Dancing.
James began taking dance lessons at the age of 10. When he turned 15, he started competing in dance competitions, and by the time he was 21, James was a major finalist in all Open International Competitions and was ranked one of the best in the world.
James met his dancing partner and wife, Ola, at a dancing competition and was mesmerised by the way she danced. Eventually they became dancing partners after travelling to Poland to try-out together. They danced together for a year before they started dating; four years later in 2003, they got married.
In 2006, James joined Strictly for its fourth series alongside Ola. However, it didn’t take long for James to spark a feud with judge Craig Revel Horwood, which resulted in James allegedly storming out of the studios on one occasion when Craig gave him a low score.
On the show, James has been partnered with actresses Georgina Bouzova, Cherie Lunghi, Zöe Lucker and Denise van Outen, presenters Gabby Logan and Alex Jones, media personality Vanessa Feltz and psychologist Pamela Stephenson. James is notorious for his strops and conflicts when faced with negative criticism on camera.
In 2012 it was reported that James and Ola had been dropped from the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour, allegedly due to his behaviour behind the scenes. In June 2014 it was reported that James had been fired from the show after eight series.

I think James is having a suppressing effect on Audley,by that I mean Audley has to sit back because James is trying to wind him up and he could explode. Without James I reckon Audley would be more fun. He’s such a nice guy and we have seen glimpses of his humour but James just doesn’t lighten up!@argyll
James thinks he is so tough. Outside he would not be so arrogant in the face of a heavyweight boxer.
He lifts weights he is not a skilled fighter. Sometimes he needs to back off the I am not scared rhetoric as I don’t think it makes him look good and in fact close to deluded.

I have just watched a clip where Gary and nasty vile James are talking about British humour and Gary was trying to get a point over when James was asked to go to the diary room and when James got up to leave he said to George Gary doesn’t like the Brits — Gary did not say that so once again James is being a nasty prick.
What is wrong with the British public? I think everyone needs to go to specsavers! James is the true winner of big brother. He stands up for himself and doesn’t let bullies walk all over him-good on you James. Keep it up! Audley and Kellie have been the biggest stirrers and if they weren’t in the house, everyone would get along just fine! I’m surprised Audley and Kellie have got away with violent behaviour whilst James stands up for himself in a courteous way.
