James is best known for his role as a professional dancer on hit BBC One talent contest Strictly Come Dancing.
James began taking dance lessons at the age of 10. When he turned 15, he started competing in dance competitions, and by the time he was 21, James was a major finalist in all Open International Competitions and was ranked one of the best in the world.
James met his dancing partner and wife, Ola, at a dancing competition and was mesmerised by the way she danced. Eventually they became dancing partners after travelling to Poland to try-out together. They danced together for a year before they started dating; four years later in 2003, they got married.
In 2006, James joined Strictly for its fourth series alongside Ola. However, it didn’t take long for James to spark a feud with judge Craig Revel Horwood, which resulted in James allegedly storming out of the studios on one occasion when Craig gave him a low score.
On the show, James has been partnered with actresses Georgina Bouzova, Cherie Lunghi, Zöe Lucker and Denise van Outen, presenters Gabby Logan and Alex Jones, media personality Vanessa Feltz and psychologist Pamela Stephenson. James is notorious for his strops and conflicts when faced with negative criticism on camera.
In 2012 it was reported that James and Ola had been dropped from the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour, allegedly due to his behaviour behind the scenes. In June 2014 it was reported that James had been fired from the show after eight series.

I’m not a big fan of Gary but I feel for him with his health issues & the way this idiot speaks to him like he’s big brothers voice, the oracle James abs irritates & grates on me…..!!! To say he’d like to smash Gary’s face in….Id take great pleasure watching his get smashed in!!!! I cannot stand anything about this man!!!!

He is soon going to annoy everyone. I personally do not like the way he spoke to Gary. Sometimes pple should really be becareful how they speak and act around older pple. Gary could be rude and all. Why dont u just avoid him instead of acting like the alpha male. I really do feel for Garry. This guy is a bit arrogant and is trying so had to be the alpha male and in the course of doing that, he will lose a lot of fans

Ok, I have only watched on Thurs, but seen him on some dancing programme where he was a bit of a tosser.
Because he is called James and a dancer, he seems to feel the need to act all mucho macho, having a go at a 70yr old man is a strange way of doing it.
