Carol McGiffin is best known as a regular panellist on daytime talk show Loose Women. She married Chris Evans in 1991 and the couple separated in 1994 and divorced in 1998. She is now engaged to Mark Cassidy who is 22 years younger than her. She’s not shy of tabloid attention and has admitted to loving a few drinks and a good party.
Carol started her broadcasting career in 1988 as co-host of the Chris Evans shows on GLR. Then in 1995 she became the founding member of the Talk Radio UK team, co-presenting the popular weekday evening show The Rude Awakening. When the show ended in September 1995 she became the station’s music expert, hosting her own Friday evening review slot.
In 1996 Carol began co-hosting the breakfast show with Richard Skinner on Liberty Radio. Then in 1997 she reappeared on Talk Radio on the Friday breakfast show with Paul Ross. Within a few weeks she was joining Paul on Monday to Thursday, as well as co-hosting a Saturday afternoon show during the summer.
In 1999 she joined London radio station LBC teaming up with Nick Abbot. Abbot left the station after six months and McGiffin continued to host the show on her own with its producer and sidekicks until 30th September 2000. She has also co-hosted phone-in shows on BBC London Live.
Carol then joined Live Talk in 2000 and was a regular from the start to finish. Carol returned to the rebranded version of Live Talk, Loose Women, in 2003, where she has been a regular ever since. She is the longest-serving panellist on the show to date.

It’s obvious Courtney doesn’t like or respect Carol & doesn’t give a shit what she thinks of her & I think Carol is the one who is hurt, so now she’s stirring up a pathetic hate campaign against her. When I think of Loose Woman I think of dirty old street dogs in S.E Asia, with their birth-canals so grotesquely stretched from the amount of partners AND puppies they’ve had its vulgar.. 😉

Does this woman have a soft, kind, caring, sensitive or dare I say it feminine side. All she seems to do is get drunk & spout opinions about other people. As I understand it Carol Mcguffin has had a warning from BB, & for the disgusting remark about Charlotte, She should have got another? Why were we not told about the reprimand, the manipulating by Ch 5 for this CBB is really shocking you cant find the ratings for the viewing figures, no one is told the share of votes any more & I dont know about you, but I feel there is going to be a scandal soon judging by all these comments about bullying its disgusting, Jade Goodie all over again ! & the voting is a scam ?
She’s stated she’s quit Loose Women. What’s next for this woman. Have the powers that be at Channel 5 got something lined up for her already? She might be be one of those spinning women on Super Casino, but she’d just point & laugh at people who lost their money. :conf: 😯 :doh:

I avoid loose women fairly actively. Occasionally ive seen snippets before finding something better to do than listen to the shite that gets spoken on that program. I always thought that she was relatively nice and chatted less shite than some of her co workers. After watching her on BB I think she is contemptible. I was gobsmacked to see her blatant shit stirring early on. I suspect that Charlotte is just a slag but I think its stupid/selfish/nasty to announce such a thing at the top of your voice when you have to live with that person. Her and Louie were quite nasty on a number of occasions. At least he claimed on his eviction that his attitude to “telling it like it is” changed as he realised that you cant/shouldnt be like that with people you re living with, dare I say he actually formed some connections bonds no matter how tenuous. And he was evil to Danielle in my opinion with little cause., but that was the beginning and I think his behavior did improve over the course of his stay.
I dont think this woman will say the same and I doubt id believe her if she did say it.
When she got kicked out by the group she said “dont put me back in there”, because in my opinion she was embarrassed at her own behavior. When she realised they were putting her back in she probably decided that even more hostility was the only way to proceed. I doubt well see any softening of her behavior or attitude before the end.
Its not often (well ever really) that I agree with John McRewick (whatever his name is) but I laughed when he said “poor chris evans ever being married to that woman”. Unless its chris evans fault ? I guess well see if Billie Piper ends up like McGiffin.
