Rylan is best known for his flamboyant performances on this year’s X Factor. Following spats with judge Gary Barlow and several songs for survival, Rylan made it to the quarter final shows after an impressive eight weeks in the competition. Mentored by Nicole Sherzinger, his performances saw him flying out of planes to the Spice Girls and coining his own type of ‘Rylan Style’ in excessive costumes.
X Factor wasn’t the first time that Rylan has graced our screens and earlier this year, party animal Rylan scooped second place in the modelling TV series, Signed by Katie Price. As well as modelling, Rylan was also part of a Spanish boy band called 4bidden and has performed in Take That and Westlife tribute bands. A week after leaving the X Factor, he was presenting morning TV as the Guest Entertainment Editor on Daybreak.
Rylan spends a lot of time perfecting his look and admitted: ‘All my money goes on what I look like, if I can’t eat, I can’t eat. At least I’ve got my colour match right.’ Rylan is single after having his heartbroken three years ago. He says ‘I can’t wait to have kids. I’ve never been with a girl, it’s not my thing but I’m not ruling it out. I want the Range Rover, the husband and two kids. I want to take my boy to football on a Sunday and my little girl dancing on a Wednesday.’
Before finding fame on The X Factor, Rylan auditioned for the civilian version of Big Brother, but was turned down by producers.

Wow Rylan was on fire last night. The only one who stood up for himself
(Long post, sorry, but I HAVE to get this out)
I can’t believe that just because this guy is “hot” coming off of X Factor and the bookies’ favourite, that he’s able to pull the wool over such a large portion of the population. Let’s face it, the bookies picked him to win it, and with the exception of Speidi (whom I dislike as people but love as HMs) and Paula (who was fascinating to watch but sadly evicted too soon), you’d think there was no one else in the house according to the editors. More than half of the show centers around them with minor bits and pieces thrown in of the other HMs. Not knowing a vast majority of the HMs at the start, I still have trouble figuring out who is who between Gillian and Tricia. Oh, and Claire from Steps… that’s all I’ve learned about her.
Anyway, back to Rylan. He admitted being a massive fan of BB and it seems to me that he has a checklist of all of the behaviour the producers/editors want to show on the highlights show and making sure he ticks all of the boxes:
– Random nudity/flashing/streaking – check
– Playing hide and seek with the cameras – check
– Telling unbelievably asinine stories/facts and swearing they are true – check
– Getting into a huge dramatic argument – check
– Being overly animated during tasks to grab the audience’s attention – check
– Having to eat a scotch bonnet chili – check
– Fake tan/hair cut/colour mishap – (pending)
– Outrageously funny *yawn* reaction to shock suit – (pending)
Let’s see, what’s missing… oh, I know… next he’ll be in the diary room shouting “Who ARE they?!”
Actually, that last may very well come true after last night’s show. I noticed BBUKLive’s tweets had the HMs going to bed early last night (1:31), but what’s this… Rylan was in the diary room talking to BB just 10 minutes later. Bet he gets the ‘pimp’ spot on the highlights show once again tonight… he is, after all, the foregone winner and knows what makes a good diary room edit.
BTW, the ONLY reason I saw that Rylan argued tonight was so he could check that box knowing full well he’s in a safe environment to confront Speidi. If you go back and check his face both times he found out Speidi was entering the house, it was a clear case of shock, horror and terror of what he was going to have to deal with.
He knew the first time that he’d been spreading gossip based off the VTs and skewing the non-basement HMs minds before anyone was even introduced and could form their own opinions. He’s gossiped so much, in fact, that the other HMs even started parroting him in the diary room when making their own nominations.
People say he’s funny… he hasn’t made me laugh once. Trying to understand anything that comes out of his mush-mouth usually takes me too much effort to ‘get the joke’. As for funny antics… I say ‘predictable’… been done before and he knows it’s what the show wants. *yawn*

Totally agree. WHO IS HE? Just wish the others had shown some bloody balls and said” Don’t like you, Yes thats what I said now go away out of my face and deal with it” Dont say anything behind anyones back that you have not the integrity to say it to their face. BB plays on this all the time and frequently “Shop” the backstabbers. They will never learn@Jillian
@Irene Pearson You’re right, you would think they’d learn not to slag each other off behind their backs, but they never learn. It infuriates me when I witness someone starting it, and this season it was Rylan who became the initiator by telling half-truths based on the VTs he saw.
Not one of them will speak up and tell them the truth face-to-face because they know they’ll get slammed right back with the ammunition they gained by watching them those 48 hours. And from watching a clip on BOTS, apparently the HMs had a very long and in-depth conversation about something that was a forbidden topic of conversation which is why Claire was nominated… she had the most to say about it. (wonder if we’ll find out what it was tonight)
Apparently Rylan’s muttering to Razor in the garden. “Everyone is acting like it’s okay when it’s not.” Sounds like there could be even more drama in store for us. :happy:

Love Rylan or hate hi hes Good TV the yanks are a waste of space & who gave BB the perimission to call them Reality Royalty???? They are the worse House members ever!! They make Americans look bad & the sooner they get voted off the better … Rylan maybe the Drama Queen at times But hes Our British Drama Queen & its Not a show ade for America!!!

Lol at afew of H&S fans copying everything they say about people. They should get their own mind and not copy word for word on what them 2 say.
All I hear from H&S’s few fans is ”Rylan is acting up for the camera” NO he is not as he is being himself and having fun unlike those 2 so leave him alone.

I think rylan is a brillaint housemate not like that other pair speidi they are the most monatinous pair I have ever heard they have the cheek to call rylan fake they are the most fake even there marriage looks fake no wonder they dont have friends who would be friends with them
I would also like to know why there is one rule for speidi and another for all the rest they started that argument and they also made fun of Ryan but not a word about that BB let them do what they want that disgusts me they all should be treated the same so for gods british public vote those two bores out I want to see the look on there face when they are voted out that would be the best part of this show

If Speidi get voted off, no doubt they will ride it out by saying that’s what they secretly wanted, they are awful, was not surprised when the word LAWYER was mentioned, typical American behaviour, like one of the American twins when Denise pulled her bottom down…cried LAWYER and going to sue BB.
Throwing his toys out the pram all the time. Wish he’d get voted off, acts like a child all the time. Grow up. So fake, speidi are so right when they say he’s fake. I never watched xfactor but only heard negative things about him on there.
Oh please STOP swearing, just makes you sound an uneducated moron, why has he not been warned by BB, no wonder we have so many foul mouthed teenagers, who watch him and think it’ cool to swear.
