Reality television stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt – also known as ‘Speidi’ – shot to fame in MTV’s popular show, The Hills. They are known for their turbulent relationship which dominated the show’s storylines for many seasons. The blonde bombshell called of their engagement briefly in 2007 but the pair married in a lavish and dramatic ceremony which aired during a pivotal episode of The Hills.
Spencer, who is known for his controversial opinions, was named ‘Top Villain of reality television’ in America’s TV Guide. As well as Laguna Beach and Princes of Malibu, the extravagant pair also had a stint in the US version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me out of Here, lasting a mere four days before infamously quitting. The born again Christian couple released a book called How to be Famous in 2009 which included tips like ‘Sexy girls get all the attention, not good girls’ and ‘never leave the house without full hair and makeup’.
In 2009, Heidi famously underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day including a nose job, fat injections in her cheeks, neck liposuction and buttock implants. Of her procedures, Heidi said: ‘I was an ugly duckling’ and described herself as being ‘an upgraded version of me’ after the surgery. Only a year later, Heidi admitted that she is against plastic surgery.
Spencer has openly admitted that he believes ‘Speidi’ are ‘the most famous people in the world’ and says: ‘I would do reality TV forever. It’s so much cooler to have people come up to me and be like “Spencer Pratt!” and know my name, than to be Orlando Bloom who’s famous for being some pirate.’

You have got to hand it to them, they really do not care about the other guests, and not afraid to voice their opinion, they would never belong to a “CLICK” one of the most interesting BB’s ever, Speidi you are horrible!!! but great viewing.
These two reality “stars” are just fame hungry idiots with no concept of the real world. For someone to sit there are call someone fake when they themselves have had 10 plastic surgery’s in one day is purely moronic! Spencer is unhinged and needs a reality check – Heidi is his lap dog that follows his every word. These two dimwits are making other American’s cringe! They actually believe that they are famous across the world for their acting and real life drama’s when in fact the whole world if laughing at them wondering what stupid thing they will do next!

Speidi are the best housemated EVER! Bring them back for another series I say! They are ‘at work’ and ‘playing the game’ brilliantly. They have not been threatening but have endured threatening behaviour, and the clamour of housemates who just don’t get them.Worth every penny of their fee…they have made BB this series.

I’ve only just seen Yesterday’s BB because of my location. So “yesterday”, Claire blamed them and commented on her kids… But SHE involved the kids by not being at home, not Speidi. :straight:

It’s a t.v. show – and a competition at that. Don’t get too angry, it’s not worth it. Worse things happen. :happy:
They’re all getting wound up because they’re all cooped up. If Speidi weren’t there they would have been under each other’s feet instead. It’s just a classic case of ‘us’ and ‘them’ with ‘us’ (either Speidi or the Group) being all united against them (either Speidi or the Group). Fascinating watching how people behave with ‘us’ believing they’re doing things “the right way” and ‘them’ being all wrong, no matter what ‘they’ do. The Big Brother producers are the real players here. Very clever. Once again, they all chose to be away from their familie’s. Why should they get a “free” boost? Any of them are free to leave any time – they’re not in prison.
If they were in Prison or trapped somewhere – then that WOULD BE a different situation indeed… :straight:

If they were in prison or trapped in some other way, then that letter thing would be a very different situation indeed. But THEY’RE NOT! Claire is free to go home and cuddle her kids and read a copy or draft version of the letter AT ANY TIME SHE WANTS…

Claire doesn’t have to be in the show, that’s all I meant really. She can be if she wants to be and she can leave if she wants to. Speidi were not being as evil as the other housemates feel because they are free. :happy:

Speidi does do my head in, but they are rather more direct and are not as changeable as the housemates perceive. Cabin fever is definitely creeping up on everyone… Yayee! 😀
Free is one way of putting it . I see them as a very cruel twosome. Do if you can get it watch last nights BOTS with Dr .Pam Spur? She was spot on in her summing up of Speidi. Virtually no social conscience which I entirely agree with . They have wrecked their so called “career in USA because of their behaviour mainly his violence against both sexes and arrogance. Sociopathy is dangerous and not entertainment. IMO@Eezageeza
NO I do not love this series at all. Because of who he in particular is , she is just his victim, it has been very uncomfortable viewing and I am not an uneducated layperson . He is desperate for money ,as they are bankrupt and I feel he will behave himself as far as violence is concerned because of that,@Eezageeza

Hi Tara been ill for a few days so not been able to post.Absolutely shocking . I cannot believe how blind and ignorant people or is it just sadism on their behalf to still be supporting two such seriously disturbed individuals.Dr Pam Spurs summed them up perfectly on BOTS last night but I fear that it was too far above peoples heads to begin to comprehend.@tara
Ok ok, but this isn’t politics. All this information we are consuming is there for our consumption. It’s organised. I will check that out that BOTS thing though, I do find media info curious. Though I am rather cynical about expert opinions put out through the media. I wonder if all the experts of every nation in the world in that field are unanimous in Dr Pam’s analysis of the information put out. Assault is very serious and if Spencer actually hurt someone, he will have a criminal record.
He has a criminal record. I seriously question media output too but there is way too much corroborating info to ignore I’m afraid. He has actually said himself that they are “blackballed” in America. There are also clips of his outbursts on u tube . USA I’m a celebrity is one horrific example. I think Endemol have played a very dangerous game for the sake of ratings .@Eezageeza
