Christopher is passionate about great journalism and getting the scoop before others. He enjoys the thrill of the chase and he refuses to take the word no for an answer; ‘making things happen is everything to me’.

A big fan of Katie Hopkins and White Dee, he is also passionate about ‘having an opinion’ and hates it when people don’t take an interest in the world around them.

Given the choice between money and love, Christopher would choose love as he has never had a relationship. He really likes the idea of being in love and ‘building something special with the right man’.

He is single and has never been in a proper relationship. He that his confidence evaporates when it comes to relationships, and that he can be ‘rather neurotic about dating’. He isn’t looking for love in the house but ‘wouldn’t turn it down if it came along’.

Christopher classes himself as religious and was brought up as a Protestant. He doesn’t necessarily ‘believe in scripture but I do pray’. He thinks his best personality traits are being spontaneous and loyal, and his worst traits are being ‘melodramatic and getting overexcited’.

He spends a lot of his weekends working – but does tend to go out every Saturday night for a heavy night: ‘I wake up in need of a wheelchair and a bacon sandwich, wishing I was dead’. His usual night out begins with drinks at his flat, then on to some bars in either Clapham or Shoreditch.

In the house, Christopher would get on best with ‘eccentric, uninhibited people’. He would struggle to get on with ‘egotistical people and people who judge you’ – even though he admits he can be guilty of this himself.

As a housemate, Christopher says he ‘won’t hold back and wants to let loose and have no regrets’, and he reckons he’ll find it hard and having to ‘endure 24 hours of social interaction’ and not being able to ‘pop out for a coffee’.

    @Bob
Hi Bob, Mine too. I think Christopher has been superb throughout and is thoroughly deserving of the win.
I have just finished watching BOTS and, sorry if I offend any supporters of his, but in my opinion, Sam, the most boring housemate during last years show who went on to win, said tonight that he felt Christopher was boring. This Sam didn’t even have an opinion of who he believes could win this year and is still utterly boring! . He is obviously not watching the same Christopher as we all are and we know he is far from boring.
He is a funny (in a quirky way), kind, warm, gentle, sensitive and sweet young man who has shown so many admirable qualities. He has been a real gem in the house and has experienced so much. Good and bad. I would like to think that when the majority of housemates analyse their time in the house and the people they had to share it with, they will come to the realization that Christopher was indeed the perfect housemate.
    Christopher for win

    @maria The perfect housemate?

I wonder if his best mate Chris thinks he was the perfect housemate?

“Oh Christopher, it was absolutely perfect the way you evicted me!”

Christopher will win, but it will be by default. Once Helen is evicted her loyal supporters will have to turn their votes to someone in order to stop Ashleigh winning…inevitably those votes will go to him.

I fully expect him to win, but like I said, there should be an asterisk next to his victory.

I find it hypocritical that people find it alright to make a big deal about Christopher’s God-forbidden “sudden” or “shady” change in a row with Helen, when they can accept on face value the obvious changes of character (boring to fun Ash), behavior (lonely to cool Pav) and even change of heart (Helen and Ashleigh’s miraculous twirl after HMs’ return) in all of the other finalists.
If you support a finalist for the win, you support him/her on the act (whether real or not) and effort (always true) they put into the entire show. But if you think someone does not deserve to win by the judgment of a single act or a few decisions s/he has made, then everyone is guilty of being an actor in there. Honestly, even all of us have been playing ourselves in our entire social life. Today, everyone has a camera in their head.
People like Christopher (even if he has been playing up to a character) are rarely taken seriously, and always expandable inside and outside of reality TV. At the end of the day, winners get rewards by taking so much and giving so little, and losers get robbed even after giving their all. This has always been the rule of our world. Aristocracy dies hard.

Hi John Kane, are you burning the midnight oil.
Nice to hear you as it was looking a bit quiet on here tonight. I was doing catch up today on some important papers so have only really popped in and out of here during the day. Did a delayed watch of the highlights and BOTS, did you watch it?
I think Chris will look at the overall picture and be honest with himself that the choice to evict him was correct. He showed absolutely no interest in being there as a finalist during his petulant dismissal of the last tasks. In fact, I think he is extremely lucky to be a finalist over a couple of others who were evicted. I’m not saying they would necessarily win, but they would be a darn sight more entertaining!
What is interesting though is your view that Christopher will win. I think, and I may be wrong, that this is the fist time you have actually declared that. I understand that you believe the win will be by default due the way the voting may twist and turn.
You know that I don’t agree with that as I believe he will be the winner in his own right.
But it is an interesting theory that you have put forward and of course, from my point of view, I, and all of Christopher’s supporters will be very happy if that is case.
I personally think it is going to be a 1,2, for the Irish (I am quarter Irish so I will be happy with that) and it should be very revealing tomorrow.

@integralreality I agree with your comments up until you say in your second paragraph ‘everyone is guilty of being an actor in there’ to the end of this paragraph. I am confused as to what you are trying to articulate and it would be helpful if you could make it clearer.
You then go on to say that ‘people like Christopher are rarely taken seriously and always dispensable inside and outside of reality TV’.
I would not, for a moment, ever suggest that Christopher is indispensable inside the BB house as NO housemate could ever possibly be so, winner or loser. It is a reality show and does not stand or fall due of one member.
However, outside of the reality show, Christopher is a journalist He undoubtedly works as part of a team, as that is the nature of the business. This requires a seriousness of application, effort and respect from all team members to each other. Therefore as part of the working wheel, Christopher will be taken seriously and is indispensable to the end result. Therefore your comment is very harsh and ill conceived.
Are your final two sentences relating to the ultimate winner of BB and in context with your post or are you just making a general statement?
Finally, I am wondering, are you a Christopher fan or just posting thoughts.

@maria I just can’t sleep tonight. I had a few pints this afternoon and for some reason when I have a few drink I just cannot sleep, it’s 5am and I haven’t even dozed yet.

It’s not quite the first time I’ve offered up this opinion, it’s actually what I’ve though all week, ever since Winston and Mark were evicted.

I set my thoughts out in a rather lengthy post (in answer to a question from “Bob” about where I thought Helen would finish) over on the page for the story: “Big Brother 2014: Winston Showan twelfth evicted” on Sunday 10th August.

If you can be bothered head over and check it out.

@maria Sod it, I’m doing nothing else, I’ll get it for you.

Here it is: “@Bob This is where it all changes around. Because it now goes from a vote to evict, to a vote to WIN.

Take Pav for instance, he is such a middle-of-the-road housemate that (much to everyones shock) he survived Fridays eviction. The reason? He hasn’t done enough to force people to actually get off their backsides, pick up the phone, and vote him OUT.

What worked in his favour Friday will be his demise in the final. He hasn’t done enough to force people to actually get off their backsides, pick up the phone, and vote for him to WIN. So I think he’ll be first out.

    Similar scenario faces Ash.

Had Helen, at any point, faced a vote to evict, she would have been straight out the door, such is the sway of feeling against her amongst the general public. With that said she will have a small army of dedicated fans. All controversial characters do.

So, the fact that she is now in a vote to win, works in her favour (to a degree). The only action her haters have available to them is to vote for someone other than her. But in order for that to mean she will be first out the door, they would have to give their votes to Pav and Ash. Which I don’t see happening. The anti-Helen vote will be split between Ashleigh, Chris and Christopher.

So whilst I believe Helen has been the most disliked housemate (maybe ever) I do not believe she will be first out the door.

Personally, if I had to guess I’d say she’ll finish 4th. Pav out first, then Ash, then Helen.

As far as the rest goes I see Chris out third… and this is where it all flips again.

Faced with the choice of Ashleigh or Christopher as a potential winner, once Helen has gone her fans will pick the lesser of two evils and vote for Christopher to win. So I see Ashleigh 2nd and Christopher winning this year.

Which would not be a bad result.”

@maria I’m revising that position slighty given how much effort the producers have put into making Helen look like an innocent little flower this week.

I now expect her to finish above Chris in 3rd. The rest of that prediction stands though.

@John Kane Hi John Kane. Thank you so much for re-posting to me.
An extremely well considered analysis of the machinations of BB voting.
I agree with all your predictions apart from the placings for Pav and Chris. I believe Chris will be out first and Pav will take 4th spot. However, not having ever won anything, anytime I have dabbled in the lottery, I’ll be comparing your suggested results with the final results to see whether I need you to work on my winning lottery numbers!
Now John Kane, if I do a big yawn, will that help you to doze off. You have to be fit to watch the final later, otherwise all of your wonderful discussions, arguments!, analyses and superb contributions to the forum will have been wasted. Go to sleep NOW 😀

@maria I’ve got no chance of sleeping now. My daughter will be up in an hour or so bouncing off my head!

School holidays so I’m just going to have to push through.

Just for clarity let me have your official prediction for tonight order so we can compare later on?

    Here’s mine:
    6. Pav
    5. Ash
    4. Chris
    3. Helen
    2. Ashleigh
    1. Christopher

    Here are mine
    6 Pav
    5 Helen
    4 Ash
    3 Chris
    2 Christopher
    1 Ashleigh

    Because
    1. I think people might feel a bit sorry for Ash being as he was Helens side kick and really couldn’t do anything about it in the end even though he might have wanted to .

    2. We the general public might just want to show Helen that we thought more of Ash ( even though he did nothing) than we thought of her.

    3. Because I think she should be out before him and Pav as they haven’t been mean to anyone and we’re judging them by association.

    And

    4. I just want to be different lol only joking 😉

Hey you lot, just checking in on final night. Loved debating and chatting with you all and hope it turns out the way I hope but if not it’s been really good fun 😀 . Maybe this year the audience reaction was the experiment rather than the housemates behaviour, they had so many twists and turns that by the end no one in my house can tell who should win! maybe that was the plan. Depending on the result il be speaking to you all Monday for CBB

Hi Lou, how lovely to see you back. I, like you, have popped in to thank everybody for their fabulous discussions, arguments, analyses and wonderful contributions.
I joined you all quite late as I happened upon the forum by accident. I thank you all for your generosity of time when responding to my opinions, and it has been such enjoyable reading, whether we agreed with each other not! That is what made the forum so interesting and fun.

I am several hours behind the UK so therefore will not get to see the final until 1am UK time tomorrow.
I am hoping that I can resist the temptation to find out the results in advance, as that will spoil my viewing. We will see!

You know that I have supported Christopher for the win, like your good self. If he does get the nod, we can clink the glasses together, in spirit!
However, if another housemate wins, whilst I may not agree with the decision. I will be just as happy for their supporters.
Let’s hope that it turns out the way we hope, but if not, then well done Chrisopher. You were brilliant.

Sorry John Kane for your lost. Team Helen won, not team john kane aka bob or team Ashleigh, or team Jane Shepperd. BB will spend ur money wisely on those who deserve it the most. Sometimes as a grown woman protecting the future of a child, you need to defend childish bullying from either other housemates which are still kids, or from adults who have kids that age, but their kids and parents bully others. You can now have a good time sleep John, without worrying to much about a hot blonde, which has the age of ur own daughter. Bullying never survives.
