Prince Lorenzo Borghese is a member of the Italian noble family, the House of Borghese, a cosmetics entrepreneur, animal advocate, and star of the ninth series of the U.S series The Bachelor.
Born in Milan, his parents are Prince Francesco and Princess Amanda Borghese. He lived in Rome and Paris before moving to Connecticut at five years old.
Lorenzo’s ancestors include Pope Paul V (Camillo Borghese) and Cardinal Scipione Borghese. The Villa Borghese is the largest park in Rome and the Borghese family’s name and crest can be found on the facade of St. Peter’s Basillica. They were one of the largest owners of property and art throughout Italy.
Lorenzo admits: “My family opens doors. To be successful in business, you need as much of an advantage as you can get.”
In 2003, Borghese started Royal Treatment, a line of luxury pet care products. Currently the company offers around 100 products ranging from shampoos and treats to beds and odour removers.
In the U.S, Lorenzo is best known for his part in the 2006 series of The Bachelor, the reality TV dating show that presents an eligible young man with a number of potential romantic partners. He admits, “A lot of American girls like this whole royal fairy tale.”
In December 2010, his first novel, ‘The Princess of Nowhere’ was released. The story is a fictional romance novel re-imagining of the life of Lorenzo’s direct ancestor, Princess Pauline Bonaparte (Napoleon’s sister), who became Princess Pauline Bonaparte Borghese after her marriage to Prince Camillo Borghese.
Lorenzo, is a charming Prince, he freely admits ‘putting a title in front of your name makes you sound arrogant and a snob, and that is not how I want to be viewed.
Hmm could be interesting. Or will he be the Prince to come ‘nowhere’???? Quite like him though. He sounds quite ‘charming’.
He showed himself to be an absolute gentleman in the way he dealt with that awful woman-Jasmine- when she told him to F.O. for nominating her. He nominated her for the best and most considerate reason of all of the other’s nomination justifications.
I think he has nothing to hide nor gain so this is a good recipe for him to go far as he will be a genuine article-unlike some of the slags and non-character-useless bums!!
This man has a fine character, although slightly cheesy. Entering the house in the search of love & a woman? And I think he isn’t interested in winning the bling since he already has it. However, he has my respects and he’s cool. Good luck Lorenzo!
Love this guy but he shouldn’t keep apologising to that witch Jasmine. He never did anything wrong other than nominate her – what she did to Danica was far worse. He should just let her stew in her own bile.

He will be indeed Jenny 🙂 So glad he wasn’t evicted last night because the odds were stacked against him remeaining in that house. I kept my fingers crossed though that someone much more well known for once came behind the people who the public hardly know anything about. Should have been just a tad more careful as I really didn’t want Chezza to be evicted, wanted Coleen out. However, she wasn’t far away from being booted out, which I think has taken her off a pedistool. Hahaha! Also, he did deal with Jas really well after the manner in which she spoke to him, he can’t have prepared himself for that reception!! Considering he is noble & part of a royal family, Jasmine should have atleast had a formal warning by bb, I mean last I heard nobody would dare speak abusively or nastily to a noble person, it just isn’t acceptable is it?

Where is this man’s common sense. He’s lusting after a girl young enough to be his daughter. Has he led such a sheltered and privileged life that she is all he can deal with. Is he really this shallow and dumb?. Is he really this immature?His parents need to spend the inheritance with his poor judgement in play. Or is it all a game after the boos?

Come to the conclusion that he is playing the game now after Friday’s boos.Imagine him dragging that back to meet his highly influential Italian parents. She would wake up to a horses head in her bed at least. Be interesting to see if she crawls all over Mike again after his cheers and her boos last night.What a truly repugnant personality she has. hopefully he will have time to watch the show and come to the realisation that she is a player and played with both of there emotions which was cruel and was one of the reasons she was kicked off the show..

I love Lorenzo. I’m gutted he didn’t stay in the house – I can’t drool over him now. He is such a gentleman and has the classic good manners that every guy should have. I think he is a true, sincere and lovely man. Shame Danica got her hands on him. I will just have to keep dreaming about him…. swoooon!

He had such integrity , did not back stab and his sense of humour emerged once the awful Danica was evicted.He was another contestant that Chewlie cast aspersions on, about his sexuality. What a horrible woman

I love Prince Lorenzo too, and agree with most of the above. What a pleasure to meet him and get to know him through the medium of television. He is indeed a prince among men. I miss him as so do his housemates, listening to their comments after he left. Sooo clever with numbers and remembering the whole ‘shopping channel’ list was amazing. Lorenzo, please note,,,, none of my 70 year old friends are a bit like Julie…thank goodness, and it is good to know you.

Agree entirely. Harvey has shown himself up completely . What an ignorant man. Both of his best friends were chasing the girls as well- idiot.He desperately needs to grow up. Although he was considered dull and boring I would rather have someone polite and charming which Prince lorenzo was …. a real gentleman.
