Nominations Tally

In Big Brother 2018, housemate have to play the game by using Big Coins to their advantage – and that game starts with nominations.

Every week, housemates must make two nominations each, and those who receive the most nominations will face the public vote for eviction. Housemates are strictly forbidden from discussing or influencing each others’ choices.

This year, the format has been expanded with the Viewer Nomination, which gives fans the chance to determine at least one further nominee, and the Gamechanger Task, which allows housemates to save a nominee from facing eviction (see Notes for details). As always, Big Brother may throw in extra twists now and again.

Below is a table keeping track of the nominations in numbers – to find out who nominated who, check our Table page.

Notes

  • Week 1: During the first week, there were no nominations. Instead, the three poorest housemates (those with the least Big Coins) at the end of the week faced the first eviction.
  • Viewer Nomination: Starting in Week 2, at least one of the nominees each week is decided by viewers, who can vote to save their favourite housemate in a free poll on the Big Brother website and app. Those with the least votes who have not already been nominated by the house become additional nominee(s).
  • Gamechanger Task: Starting in Week 2, nominations are followed by the Gamechanger Task. Six housemates participate, including the nominees and the housemate with the most Big Coins, who chooses the other players. The winner can save a nominee from facing eviction; nominees may save themselves.
  • Week 3: There were two Viewer Nominations this week. Kay was nominated for eviction this week, but she left the house voluntarily on Day 19.
  • Week 4: As new housemates, Hussain and Isabella were exempt from nominations this week. As he purchased immunity in the weekly Big Coin auction, Tomasz couldn’t be nominated.
  • Week 5, Day 31: Hussain secretly purchased the ‘Absolute Power Nomination’ in the weekly Big Coin auction, and used it to nominate Lewis F. This meant Lewis F was guaranteed to face eviction, and could not play the Gamechanger task or be saved by it. Hussain could not make any further nominations.
  • Week 5, Day 36: Week 5 featured a double eviction, in which housemates experienced a week of Big Brother in one night. The first eviction was immediately followed by a round of nominations and a Gamechanger task. As the richest housemate, Cameron was immune from being nominated, and he alone also decided who left in the second eviction; there was no Viewer Nominee or public vote.
  • Week 6: This week, housemates gave Positive Nominations; they nominated who they wanted to stay, and those with the least nominations faced eviction. It was announced there would be three Viewer Nominations; Tomasz finished in the bottom three of the viewer poll, but as he was already facing eviction as a result of housemates’ nominations, only two housemates effectively received Viewer Nominations. The Gamechanger winner was able to save two nominees.
  • Final: The vote to win opened on Day 43, immediately after Tomasz’s eviction. Lines froze on Day 50 for a double eviction, three days before the final.
