Celebrity Big Brother summer 2017 - Brandi Glanville fourth evicted

CBS has confirmed the eleven famous faces taking part in the first ever Celebrity Big Brother USA, with Trump protégé Omarosa and former UK contestant Brandi Glanville among the top signings.

Bosses took advantage of the huge pulling power of the Grammy Awards – last year’s ceremony had 26million viewers – by revealing the celebrity houseguests in two TV promos during the annual music event last night.

Omarosa is evidently considered the biggest attraction by the network, as she is the only name featured in both of the commercials.

The 43-year-old businesswoman, full name Omarosa Manigault-Newman, is a reality TV star known for her links to US President Donald Trump, having taken part in three separate seasons of his former NBC show The Celebrity Apprentice.

Her involvement in CBB is likely to cause a stir in the States, as it comes just weeks after she officially departed Trump’s White House staff, having served as his Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison.

While Omarosa, who is known mononymously, maintains that she resigned from the role, certain reports allege that she was fired in acrimonious circumstances.

Meanwhile, producers have recruited one former housemate from the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother, Real Housewives star Brandi Glanville, who participated in its 20th series just five months ago.

Joining them are TV host and RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Ross Mathews, who once fronted BBUSA coverage for CBS’s Inside Dish, and Miss Colombia champion Ariadna Gutierrez, who was memorably embarrassed when Steve Harvey incorrectly announced her as the winner of Miss Universe 2015.

Three actresses are taking part: The Cosby Show star Keshia Knight Pulliam, American Pie favourite Shannon Elizabeth, and Tony Award-winning Broadway performer Marissa Jaret Winokur.

Completing the line-up are two musicians, Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath and Big Time Rush singer James Maslow, and two sportsmen, retired NBA player Metta World Peace and UFC champion Chuck Liddell.

The celebs are thought to have been sequestered this weekend, and will enter the house shortly before the show’s TV premiere on Wednesday 7th February.

CBS confirmed full scheduling details last month, with 13 episodes due to air over a concentrated 18-day run, wrapping with a live finale on Sunday 25th February.

As always, the show’s comprehensive live feed set-up will return on CBS All Access, allowing viewers to follow the action 24 hours a day.

mononymously – what a great word.

I’m guessing if they’re already sequestered they’ll go in a week or so before the premiere (as they do in the regular series), and with 11 HGs rather than 10 I suspect they’ll be an eviction at the end of the premiere too.

I think this is a good cast so far obviously the big signing is Omarosa but overall I think it is good. I could see Omarosa and Brandi clash.

Julie revealed on Monday, January 29th on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that they are in sequester and will be thrown in the House “later this week.” Originally they were gonna have 10 celebs but when Omarosa agreed to do it they upped the number from 10 to 11.

Earlier that day on CBS This Morning they revealed that “at least” 2 Houseguests will be voted out each week.

Since the US version has only 3 finalists on finale night I predict there will be more than 2 a week and possibly someone evicted during the special Thursday episode on Feb 8.

In an interview with ET Brandi thinks she is a “late signing” saying she got a call Wednesday prior to the cast reveal on Sunday. Apparently she has no clue about how the US version works so she is trying to catch up on tapes the producers let Houseguests watch during sequester before entering the House. She’s also worried about how the US version is more physical than the UK version. But she makes some good general comparison to the US vs UK version lol

In James Maslow’s ET interview he revealed he is a fan of the show so this will be interesting. I also like the ET Canada interviews with Ika Wong so far I think it will be good.

Will defiantly will be getting CBS All Access for February for the live feeds :D

Each Friday episode two hours long so suspect they’ll all be doubles, with singles on Monday. That would leave 3 for the final.
