A technical issue with Belinda’s voting phone line in the Republic of Ireland has led to the Irish vote being suspended.
As a result of the error, votes cast for Belinda were not registered, whilst votes for Rex were being successfully logged.
A statement released by Channel 4 on the official site says:
Since the vote lines opened for Rex and Belinda at 6pm on Tuesday 15th July there has been a technical issue with Belinda’s vote line in Republic of Ireland and as a result viewers in Ireland have not been able to vote for Belinda. Channel 4, in consultation with Electoral Reform Services, has suspended Rex’s Republic of Ireland vote line until this issue has been resolved.
To ensure that this is a fair vote for both Belinda and Rex, when the vote lines for both housemates re-open for viewers in the Republic of Ireland, Rex’s vote total from ROI will be re-set to zero
UK voting lines were not affected by the error.
Viewers who live in the ROI and called to evict Rex before his line was suspended can claim a refund for any votes cast - more information on this can be found here.

This better not be a fix to keep her in.
Mr Handbag, alot of things in this years BB has been a fix. Just look at the stupid spud peeling task in order for the hell side to nominate. BB did that because they wanted to see the HM’s on the heaven side vote first. As if they weren’t going to peel the spuds to a high standard and NOT be able to nominate. Yeah, good one BB!

why would bb want the heaven housemates to vote first, it makes no difference to the amount at the end.

If Channel 4 were to fix it to keep Belinda in, I think they would fix the UK vote, not the Irish voting lines. As an inhabitant of Ireland, I think that the influence of the Irish vote is minimal!
