Former Celebrity Big Brother contestants Jedward will return to the show’s house for the new series, according to The Daily Star.

The madcap twins’ antics proved popular with viewers during the last edition in August, making them the favourites to win. However, they were eventually beaten by reality stars Paddy Doherty and Kerry Katona.

Bosses are now said to want the former X Factor stars – named John and Edward – to make a comeback. John teased: “Big Brother wants us back in January just to make the show work. We made an impact.”

A ‘show source’ added: “We can’t say too much but fans won’t be disappointed.”

If true, it is unlikely the pair will appear for long – they’re starring in their own pantomime in Dublin until January 8th, before embarking on a tour of Europe on the 13th.
