Shaun Williamson stars in new Celeb BB advert

A new teaser advert for Celebrity Big Brother 2012 debuted on Channel 5 last night, starring Shaun Williamson, a.k.a. Barry from Eastenders!

In tongue-in-cheek clip, Williamson – who also played a fictional version of himself in Ricky Gervais comedies Extras and Life’s Too Short – approaches an obelisk marked with the show’s logo, and shouts ‘Pick me!’

It continues the stormy theme of the three five-second trailers, which were launched at the weekend.

A full length advert featuring Brian Dowling, Amy Childs and Jedward is expected later this week.

    i hope big brother the main series doesnt start straight away after the celeb series as viewers get bored of it and then at least it gives producers more time to change the house/theme and more time for ideas/tasks twists advertising etc, more planning is needed

    dont rush it this year! have a break a month in between at least??

    @Rachel

    Big Brother is returning to its normal schedule this year, so the main series won’t air until the summer

    :straight: I like the advert but it looks like a bit of a joke. Shuan Williamson’s acting skills just seem like he is not taking seriously; I think the advert should have looked a bit more serious.

    I think Shuan’s ‘claim to fame’ now is him not being famous and everyone still calling him Barry. He makes a living out of essentially being a nobody – which is a recurring joke in everything he does. (This, NMtBC, Extras …)
