Endemol has finally launched official Big Brother mobile apps for iPhones and Android devices, but eviction voting has not been included.
The application allows fans to catch up with the latest news and videos posted on the official Facebook page while on the go, and view and a stream of messages posted on the show’s three Twitter feeds.
However, a planned feature which would have allowed users to cast eviction votes by buying them as in-app purchases has been left out. It is unclear why voting has been omitted or if it will be introduced in the future. A promised iPad app has also yet to be released.
Sky1′s Got To Dance introduced a similar app last year, which allowed fans to buy 12 votes for 59p.
The mobile apps, which are available on the Apple App Store and Android Marketplace, were touted as one of the replacements for the 24-hour live feed when it was axed last year.
Wish there was a Windows Phone app… Still, it’s good that they have released one. I wonder what the viewing figures were like for last nights launch!
