• 8.40pm Hello and welcome to our live updates for the Celebrity Big Brother 2012 launch show! Not long until we find out who the housemates are and put the rumours to bed..
• 8.49pm Brian just appeared on Channel 5 for a live trailer! “”We are moments away from revealing our star-studded line-up. Who’s going in? Find out in fifteen!”
• 9.03pm And it’s here! They’ve changed the colours in the titles ever-so-slightly and added a star to the eye. Brian briefly talks us through the house design before we meet our first housemate – NATALIE CASSIDY!
• 9.07pm “It’s freezing!” exclaims Natalie after walking the red carpet. “I just absolutely can’t wait, it’s an honour, I want to grab it with both hands and entertain everyone!”
• 9.08pm “I wouldn’t take my shoes off at home and I’m not going to do anything different here,” says ex-Eastender Natalie as she arrives in the house. “I can’t believe it, it’s amazing!”
• 9.10pm Uh-oh, Natalie’s been called to the Diary Room! Big Brother is going to make sure she has a ‘night to remember’. She has been given an earpiece, and she must do everything Big Brother tells her to do – so it’s basically Big Brother Celebrity Hijack all over again!
• 9.13pm We’ll find out the next few celebrity housemates after the break…
• COMMERCIAL BREAK
• 9.18pm Part two has begun, and the second star is MICHAEL MADSEN. “I don’t know a thing about Big Brother,” he says. Will be interesting to see how he does…
• 9.20pm Michael’s dyed his hair blonde for the occasion. “I want to prove they’re not stupid,” Michael says. He adds that he’s not expecting anything from the experience, and his friend, ex-housemate Vinnie Jones has advised him to ‘mind his own business’ in the house. He’s the oldest housemate.
• 9.21pm Michael’s in the house and Natalie has been instructed to hug him and tell him that she’s his biggest fan and that she loved him in Free Willy!
• 9.25pm The instructions are coming thick and fast, Big Brother keeps telling Natalie to address Michael as ‘Free Willy’. Michael asks her how she got this job. Awkwarddd
• 9.26pm ANDREW STONE is the third housemate in the new series. “I’m the kind of person that’ll make people smile,” says Andrew. “I’ve always said the cream in the milk will rise to the top. I’m the cream.”
• 9.28pm “It’s an amazing format and an amazing show and I’m proud to be part of it. I really mean that,” says Andrew. He refers to himself as a ‘triple threat’ as he can act, sing and dance, and he thinks he’s as good a dancer as Justin Timberlake.
• 9.30pm Andrew’s in. “It looks like a movie set,” says Michael, referring to the house. “You’d know!” replies Andrew. Time for another break…
• COMMERCIAL BREAK
• 9.35pm Round three, and our fourth housemate – or should I say housemates – is KRISTINA AND KARISSA SHANNON, the American Playboy twins. “I’m a little bit taller,” says Kristina, explaining the differences between them!
• 9.39pm The twins say they’ll tell Big Brother who’s being naughty. Hmm. After a quick wave to Hugh Hefner, they’re off in to the house – taking pairs of shoes worth more than £7,000 with them!
• 9.40pm Natalie and Andrew welcome the twins to the house – Michael’s nowhere to be seen. “You’re the Playboy girls right?” asks a perceptive Natalie. “You’ve got to put your bikinis are for the pool!”
• 9.41pm FRANKIE COCOZZA is the fifth housemate. “I don’t have any regrets,” he says about his X Factor controversy. “The next big thing is Big Brother for me. I’m quite lairy. I’ll shag in the house.”
• 9.43pm “I’m really not fussy,” Frankie says when asked what type of girl he’d like to meet in the house! He claims to have slept with over 90 women in his eighteen years – he’ll celebrate his nineteenth birthday in the house.
• 9.45pm Frankie’s in and Andrew’s talking to him about one time he saw him in a bar six weeks ago. Cringe.
• 9.47pm Finally, Big Brother’s remembered the secret mission! “Go up to Frankie and kiss him on the lips. Tell him you find younger men very attractive,” he tells Natalie.
• COMMERCIAL BREAK
• 9.54pm And we’re back! Rugby player GARETH THOMAS is the sixth housemate. He’s the first player to come out as gay during his career. He says he has a fiery temper.
• 9.55pm “Anything I do, I try to win,” Gareth tells Brian. “I think if people get in your face and they deserve the temper, it’s there. But it’s about creating atmosphere as well. I’m not going to try to be anybody else. I’m going in to make friends and have an experience.”
• 9.57pm Gareth has broken his nose five times, fractured both shoulders and lost quite a few teeth. His ideal date would be George Clooney.
• 9.59pm NICOLA MCLEAN is the seventh celebrity to enter the house. She’s a glamour model and WAG. “I can’t stand kiss and tell girls, they’re absolutely vile and ridiculous,” she says. “I’ve heard Sonia from Eastenders is going in. I had a spat with her,” she adds. Cue fireworks!
• 10.02pm Nicola says she’d like to be a mother figure in the house, reasoning that she’ll miss her kids. Aww. “I’m only outspoken when it needs to be said,” she claims.
• 10.02pm Before becoming a model, Nicola was an army cadet. She’s appeared on Page 3 almost 300 times, and has had her eyeliner tatooed on!
• 10.03pm Nicola meets her new housemates before hurriedly getting her champagne. “I only had one glass of wine in my dressing room!” she exclaims. “Is everyone as nervous as me or am I just a wreck?”
• 10.06pm Back to the secret mission, and Big Brother’s trying to stir the pot between Natalie and Nicola – Nat’s been instructed to say she’s ‘completely cool’ with being in the house with her!
• COMMERCIAL BREAK
• 10.13pm The eighth housemate is former Only Way Is Essex star KIRK NORCROSS! He describes himself as hot-header, a joker, a bit of a doughnut and ‘like your kid brother’.
• 10.15pm Kirk says his ideal housemate would be fellow TOWIE star Joey Essex, and his least ideal housemate would be fellow TOWIE star Maria Fowler. Hmm. He’s going in!
• 10.19pm The ninth person taking part is Irish model GEORGIA SALPA. She says her boobs are real and she gets compared to Kim Kardashian. “I don’t wanna be in the house with WAG-gy type girls.”
• 10.20pm “I’m a bit lazy, I’ll try my best” Georgia says when Brian asks if she’ll try hard to look good in the house. She says she’s brought four bikinis and she’ll do her best to make Ireland proud. She’s crashed her car four times and says her boobs are her family heirlooms!
• 10.24pm Big Brother’s putting Natalie up to more tricks. She’s been told to kiss Frankie on the lips again, and ask him “Is it hot in here or is it just you?” Time for yet another break…
• COMMERCIAL BREAK
• 10.30pm “I don’t think I’ve had a chance to put my side of the story across.” Yes, our tenth housemate is NATASHA GIGGS! “I’m not looking for a romance in the house.” Surprise surprise…
• 10.32pm “I expected the boos, but thank you for the cheers!” – Natasha addressing her mixed crowd reception. She’d hate to be in the house with ‘needy and self-obsessed people’.
• 10.33pm Natasha’s through the front door, and Nicola doesn’t look very happy about it!
• 10.35pm MC ROMEO from the So Solid Crew is the penultimate person to enter the house. “I think the main thing to be worried about is the tasks, you don’t know what Big Brother’s gonna throw at you. I might crack, but I’m ready for the challenge!”
• 10.37pm “I’ve just come to enjoy myself, have some fun and get to know some more people,” he tells Brian. By the way, in case you were wondering, his real name is Marvin Dawkins.
• 10.39pm Big Brother’s just instructed Natalie to go up to the Playboy twins in an American accent and tell them that she’s done loads of modelling. Cringe cringe CRINGE!
• COMMERCIAL BREAK
• 10.49pm One commercial break later, and we’ve got our final housemate – Loose Woman DENISE WELCH! “I’m going to try and bite my tongue for the sake of my children who are having a breakdown,” she comments. “I’m just looking forward to the hot tub with the young’uns!” Her colleague Andrea McLean is in the audience.
• 10.52pm So everyone’s in, but the night’s not over yet as Big Brother hands over to Natalie for her final challenge. She’s been instructed to gather the housemates on the sofas, before giving a motivational speech.
• 10.54pm Big Brother’s insisting that Natalie pretends to cry. She’s been through the ringer tonight!
• 10.58pm And that’s your lot – no conclusion to Natalie’s task and no live show tomorrow, contrary to reports. The first eviction’s on Wednesday. That’s it from us – stay tuned to C5 for Bit On The Side!
