Davina McCall, the former face of Big Brother, has revealed that she still supports and watches the show at its new home on Channel 5.

The 44-year-old – who is apparently ‘thrilled’ that it’s proved successful for the broadcaster – told The Daily Star that she’s planning to record the new Celebrity series so that she doesn’t miss a moment.

“It’s the same brilliant show it was before,” she praised.

McCall also blasted critics who label its contestants as ‘freaks’, saying: “People called it a freak show because it had gay people on it or people with Tourette’s and I’m like: “Hello, these are people from society!’

“Calling it a freak show is the most inhumane and worst thing you can do.”

However, she insisted that she made the right decision in leaving Big Brother after it was dropped by Channel 4. “After saying goodbye in a such a public way, to go back would have been crazy,” she commented. “Especially as I’d set myself up for life after Big Brother.”

Davina is currently fronting three shows on the box – Sky1′s Got To Dance, ITV1′s The Biggest Loser and The Million Pound Drop, which returns to Channel 4 for its sixth series next Friday.

She is also filming a second series of ITV1′s Long Lost Families, and recently released her eighth excercise DVD and a sportswear range in high street store Next.
