Channel 5 has unveiled pictures of the new look Celebrity Big Brother 2012 house – read on to see them in all their glory!
Based on the design from last summer’s series, the refurbished abode – located at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire – is themed around an Alpine chalet, with lots of wood, fur and leather furnishings.
The first thing the celebrities will see as they enter the house as the hallway. A new red carpet has been laid on the curved staircase, while three rather majestic-looking stag head lamps are fixed to the wall.
A new wallpaper depicting a snowy forest covers the lounge, which contains three leather chesterfield sofas. Oddly, there is no communal dining area – instead, the images show there are five two-seater tables, which is not quite enough for the twelve stars going in. Does Big Brother have a trick up his sleeve?
The kitchen counters are now wooden slightly larger, while the lightboxes from last summer have been covered in a graphic of a log. A corner wall has been pulled in – we wonder why…
More decking has been laid in the garden. The bar and bridge have been removed, and the pool remains – but if that proves a little cold for the housemates, then they can warm up in the brand new hot tub.
The outdoor seating area has also been refreshed, with more chesterfield sofas and wood panelling.
The bathroom has a forest theme, with curved wooden counters and padded benches. Sadly, the bath is no longer shaped like an egg, but there’s a new round one in its place. The more observant of you will have spotted the shower hasn’t been frosted over yet – not sure the celebs will like that!
The biggest changes are in the bedroom, which now decorated in blue and purple, with snowflake symbols covering the walls and carpet. The beds are covered in faux fur throws and lit from underneath to give the impression they’re floating!
A black seat sits in the centre of the room, while the walk-in wardrobe has also been tweaked.
As usual, the Diary Room remains shrouded in mystery – we’ll find out if it has changed when the new series launches this Thursday at 9.00pm on Channel 5.

The house is so much better than last year, it looks completely different! I don’t think they put much effort at all into last year’s house, but I think they put a lot of effort into this house.
I like the bedroom. Very plush.
I was hoping the layout of the house would have changed a bit, never liked the kitchen but oh well. Liking the theme though and the bedroom looks nice.
gud at least we getting sum live feed apparently we getting it after evictions and it will be on live satursday and sunday afternoons for 1 to 2hrs
like the bathroom and the bedroom is lush!!! but not sure about the rest the living room and garden look like last years but just during a task…

Picture 2 reminds me of Celebrity Big Brother 2010 where Alex Reid won when it was on Channel 4 lol
I love the house, especially the way they left some areas (pool, bathroom, stairs) with the same layout as last year. Also the fact that they’ve left the little housemate grid in the living room space is good.
I think Channel 5 have redefined the house and have created a new theme to how it is laid out. Can’t wait for Thursday!!

Alice Levine revealed in a house tour that the NEW diary room chair will be revealed soon.
I’ve seen in the schedules the show is airing more at 9pm, much better than at 10pm as I missed most of BB12 as I had to go to bed to get up in time for college!
No 24 hr live feed???!? So we just get an edited 60 or so mins from the previous 24 hours. Gonna be such a fix, we will only see what they want us to feed. Feel sorry for whoever goes in there, they will be portrayed however they produces want them to be…..

You go to college and have to be in bed by 10pm! God, teenagers nowadays have no stamina!
Not a great house at all IMO – like the garden, but the main house all seems a bit dull. The furniture just doesn’t sit right in that layout at all.
i really hope that there is a house tour this year…
