House Tour

The Big Brother house is located in Elstree Studios, Hertfordshire, where it has been since 2002. Ever year, it recieves an extensive makeover for each new series of the show.

This year’s house was designed by Patrick Watson. It is the biggest house to be used in the show in recent years.

Prior to construction of the interior, the entire back end of the house was demolished and rebuilt from scratch.

For the first time since 2003, the house features two bedrooms. One is the height of luxury, the other the epitome of basic.

Executive producer Sharon Powers said: “It will be interesting to see who bags themselves a luxury bed and who ends up in the other basic bedroom. You don’t really want to sleep in that one. It’s the smallest one we have ever had.”

A new addition to the house this year is the jail in the garden. Other changes to the house include a brand new entrance hall, featuring two staircases.
