Endemol, the parent company of Dead Set producer Zeppotron, has sold the zombie drama to four international territories.
Australian network SBS and Africa's BBC Entertainment have snapped up the rights to the show, as well as Swedish channel TV400. It will also air in Spain on Canal+, and a yet-to-be-confirmed 'major free-to-air' broadcaster.
Despite airing in the UK in five parts (a one-hour long opening episode, followed by four half-hour long shows), it has been sold globally as a series of six half-hour episodes.
Endemol is currently in talks to sell it elsewhere.
Tom Toumazis, the chief commercial officer of the Endemol Group, said: "Dead Set is clever, thrilling, funny and genuinely scary.
"Not only is it brilliantly written but it has been cinematically executed and its blackly comic take on the world of Big Brother makes it one of a kind.
"We already have a number of further international deals pending for the show and we expect today’s announcement to be the first of many."
