Katie Price got her big break as a glamour model in 1996, becoming one of The Sun’s many Page 3 girls. Adopting the pseudonym ‘Jordan’, she went on to appear in publications such as The Daily Star FHM, Nuts and Loaded. In 2002, she became a cover girl for the American version of Playboy.
Her love life soon became fodder for the tabloid media, with her list of boyfriends said to include Dwight Yorke, Dane Bowers and Gareth Gates. In 2004, she signed up to take part in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, where she begun a relationship with fellow contestant Peter Andre.
The pair married, and went on to film several reality series for ITV2, including When Jordan Met Peter and Katie & Peter: The Next Chapter. However, their romance later crumbled and they divorced in late 2009.
Shortly afterwards, Price returned to the I’m A Celebrity jungle for its ninth run – but she quit one week in after viewers voted for her to face six of the gruelling Bushtucker Trial challenges consecutively.
In 2010, she married cage fighter Alex Reid – just after he won the seventh series of Celebrity Big Brother, which also starred Bowers. They separated a year later.
In 2011, Price signed an exclusive deal with Sky Living. The channel aired two series of her solo reality venture Katie, as well as Signed By Katie Price, which offered hopefuls a chance to sign to her management company Blacksheep. The talent contest featured the first TV appearances of Jay McKray and Rylan Clark, who both became Big Brother housemates.
Since early 2013, Price – who has four children – has been married to stripper Kieran Hayler. Their relationship hit a rocky patch last year when it was alleged that he’d cheated on her with her best friend.
The 36-year-old has released five ghostwritten autobiographies and launched several business ventures, including a string of children’s books, three perfumes, and her clothing line KP Equestrian.
Price hopes that Celebrity Big Brother will show viewers the real her – “not the version that a section of the press like to invent” – but she’s well aware that it won’t be like any of her own reality shows: “I’ve never been in the house before and I’m sure it’s not easy, so who knows what will happen?”

Did BB really pay half million for a has been ? She has been ok but added very little for the money dished out.
Her going in hasn’t caught the publics imagination, barely anyone is talking about her, as can be seen by the lack of comments here – hardly anyone is interested. I doubt they’ve gained more than 100 viewers,

I think the shows producers were running scared that Katie Hopkins might get evicted and seeing as Katie Price was in her circle and the others were the outsiders it became a no brainer to give her the power to save someone. There’s certain HMs they need to go the distance and the 2 Katie’s are amongst them.

Sorry Vicky you obviously haven’t done your research, if she had to show us the real Katie Price the show would be taken off air.

I have nothing but admiration for this girl, she has 5 kids and she has built up a business empire from scratch. Despite all, she is down to earth and a lovely and honest person. Katie p (and h) all the way!

So disappointed with katy price, its like she’s on a very expensive C5 paid holiday. £500,000 worth. Maybe she would use this money to pay for Haveys taxi to London and back everyday at least someone would have got there monies worth that way. Yes, the people who really need the government support.
It is a disgrace, between her millions and Harvey’s fathers millions surely they could easily come up with the money themselves.
If it’s not sex talk she has nothing to offer.
