Deirdre Kelly, better known as ‘White Dee’, came to public prominence in the Channel 4 documentary Benefits Street. Critics have vilified her as the “patron saint of drug addicts and dropouts”, whereas fans see her as a working-class hero. Dee is a single mother to a son and a daughter.
Until five years ago, Deirdre worked as an administrator for Birmingham City Council, until it was claimed she was being convicted of stealing to fund her then-partner’s drug abuse.
Since then Dee received benefits from the government after claiming she could not work due to suffering from depression.
Since the success of Benefits Street, Dee has received offers from all over the world for appearances in modelling, newspaper columns, cooking, holidays, as well as other television reality shows.
Recently Dee travelled to Magaluf. This resulted in David Cameron personally ordering a probe into her finances after she was photographed enjoying a boozy holiday, despite being ‘too depressed’ to work. Dee no longer claims benefits.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all. There is apparently a c4 programme about the richest reality show stars.

Well as Jane says, what the Mirror and the star publish is usually a load of bull. But apparently this was a quote from Mutley’s agent (I call Dee Mutley now, because her wheezing reminds me of that cartoon dog) It’s a cancer charity based in Walsall, which if I remember rightly is just outside Birmingham.
I always knew it was a mad, mad world, but if this is true, it’s madder than I thought.
Don’t like her at all, and it’s nothing to do with her background. She’s simply unkind and thinks she is going to win. All i can say is that if she does it will be the last series of BB I will ever watch. How she stayed and Lauren went is a mystery to me.

Dee is repulsive.. she had me fooled at first and i warmed to her… true colours soon come out. James is an a*srhole, edele trying to get in on the bullying act.. makes me so angry they can pick on an old man like that. Audley is the only nice person in there other than Gary.. they pick on audley too. Gary or audley to win! Dee to go back to benefits street .. i dont ever want to see that vile woman on tv again. Who the hell is voting for her??!

So this is what the worlds coming to. Rewarding people who are so lazy they haven’t done a days work in their life. Don’t work kids claim benefits and you could 1 day be on tele. Scandalous.
Dee is so mouthy she is becoming a know it all she really needs to go and find a job after this. she really is playing the game.

Who needs friends with benefits when those friends are like her. Get her out and send her back into obscurity. The less I see of her the better. God forbid she wins. Surely us public have higher standards than that ?

She calls Cameron a stupid man ,she only stopped her benifits as she was on TV if no saw her she would still be on them. Where has her depression gone the freudster that she is .if I was Cameron I would tax her n her sort triple and make her pay back what she stole. Oh and by the way she clutched onto Ricci as she has a daughter roughly the same age :up: 😯
Hi Jenny It has been fun despite certain trolls! Anyway I am awaiting tonight’s result before I decide wether this is my final BB. After the summers result and this series I am pissed off with the producers lack of morality! If the result tonight shows the public in tune with them then I give up!
