George Gilbey is known for being a cast member on Channel 4’s Gogglebox, the show that watches people watch TV.
The first time George and his family appeared on Gogglebox, he was introduced as not having had a girlfriend for a year, which made George think he would not ever get one again. He is still single.
Electrician George, nicknamed “Squeaky” due to his high pitched voice, originally moved back in with his mum and step-dad after his long-term relationship ended.
Gogglebox won the BAFTA for best reality and constructed factual programme this year.
Come on BB these are not celebrities are they and why do we have to have Americans that non of us have heard of sorry, i wont be watching….

He would be the first to say he isn’t a celebrity but if Channel 5 wave a huge cheque in your face for going in a tv studio for 3 weeks he’s not gonna say no is he?
Lets face it, British Celebrity culture is a bit shit isn’t it? not much to choose from, just reality tv people & actors & sportsmen at the end of their career.
No A-list star would be seen dead in the BB house, too busy having a successful career.

This is so frustrating having people not realise how much of a dick this guy is. Why is nothing being done about this? He should not be aloud on tv.
George is a nice guy and entertaining. Not sure why there are so many people on here complaining about their celebrity status. You all watch the show so get on with it. We see “rock bottom celebs” or double Z listers in every year. At least I recognise George he is far more entertaining on his show than most of the others on theirs lol. Anyway hope everyone is enjoying BB this year I certainly am :up: :tongue: :happy:
I don’t mind George but I have noticed he shuffles off when other housemates get into a deep discussion or row. Think the Audley/James tiff has made him take a step back.
i for 1 am a big fan of george he wud b the 1st to admit he aint a celeb, but how many of u wud refuse a large amount of money 4 sitting around in a house 4 3 weeks!!

C’mon folks, that George is a bit of a simpleton isn’t he? He is not capable of taking part in any meaningful conversation and follows that weird girl around like a lap-dog. I think she is called Stephanie although I have hardly been able to understand a word she says. Does she speak English?

If he’d been on ordinary BB he may have been a great HM. I can’t fathom how they decide who should be on which show. Danica,page3 girls on Celeb,Helen,Danielle on ordinary one. Rylan on celeb because he was on X factor,Zoe from pop idol on ordinary show. Maybe is just making up numbers.i can’t say I’m not liking him on the show but I don think either Dee Stephanie or him deserve a place. I was glad David went last night for the same reason.@Jono

Actually I think they may have toned down from last year. He has been teased mercilessly about them. Made my realise that having money does not always solve your beauty problems. That’s why I am growing old gracefully!@weedon
