In 1997, Audley became the British superheavyweight champion and retained the title in 1998. He then went on to win gold at the 1998 Commonwealth Games.

At the Sydney Olympics in 2000, Audley doubled his gold winnings as an amateur when he defeated Mukhtarkhan Dildabekov and became the first British boxer to win Olympic gold in the superheavyweight division.

After his Olympic gold medal win, Audley was awarded an MBE in 2001 Queen’s New Year’s Honours list for his services to sport.

Audley turned professional in 2001 after signing a £1million contract with BBC Sport for his first 10 professional fights. In May 2001, he began his professional career with a first round victory, closely followed by several other convincing wins.

6ft 6 inch Audley continued his winning streak when he made his US debut in 2003. This led to him permanently relocating to the USA, where he was unbeaten in 11 fights, eight of which were knockout victories.

In December 2005, Audley returned to the UK to face fellow Briton Danny Williams for the Commonwealth title; he stepped in after Williams’ opponent pulled out five weeks before the fight, and lost on a split decision in the match.

After being knocked out by Michael Sprott for the European title in 2007, Audley made his comeback when he defeated him in 2010 and won the European heavyweight title. His only chance to be crowned the world champion, in 2010, was against David Haye for the WBA belt; he was knocked out in the third round.

In a brutal first-round knockout in 2012, Audley was put in hospital with a suspected broken nose and mild concussion; which subsequently led him into early retirement.

Despite this, he extended his career again at the age of 41, winning the Heavyweight Prizefighter event for a second time.

At this rate it’s a good job it’s not vote to evict as we wouldn’t be able to evict anyone with a disability, gender reassignment, gay, lesbian, black…so the winner of this years show is. ..Audley,Kellie,Leslie,Frenchy and oh,no who were racists then who didn’t vote for David! 😀

For god’s sake Audley and Kellie come from a macho world, I totally get Audley feeling awkward around Kellie, to he’s plain and simply Frank. Even last night he made a faut pas ‘man to man’ it shows that in his mind Kellie will always be Frank and he’s struggling with it. You can see the fondness from Audley towards Kellie, he was just trying to vocalise what he was feeling. Kellie is a bit like a spoilt brat and has hissies whenever she’s nominated. I respect her decision to become a woman but that doesn’t mean people can’t nominate her.

Totally agree with your comments, when has free speech between past friends been outlawed ? Audley has feelings, are BB aware of that ? Kellie is not a nice person so why do we have to pander to someone who is changing their identity, it is their choice so why does everyone have to “pussyfoot” around ?

Kellie is a selfish, vindictive individual who was nasty as Frank and is nasty as Kellie. Poor Audley! He did not deserve that warning. I’m fed up with BB producers falling over themselves to protect obnoxious Kellie. I would love K to be evicted tonight. Enough is enough. James was right to mention K’s day-in, day-out (empty) threats to leave. There’s the door! he said.

Kellie is a disastrous HM and needs to go asap.

    @Peter

Exactly. Audley worked with an aggressive, macho Frank for thirty years in a very male-dominated sport and environment. So of course he finds the sudden appearance of ‘Kellie’ difficult to get used to.

Audley is a decent man. He was not being abusive. The problem with Kellie is that those not fawning and huggy-wugging and offering praise are perceived as enemies. To have played the ‘transphobia’ card was really low. Typical Maloney.

IMO – I know very little about boxing but this man has shown empathy and patience and tried to understand the combative attitudes of many, he remains a gent.

for him to receive a reprimand in attitude beggars belief………..after the other real people Big B…

    I posted on Kellie page.

    Forgive my facetiousness …

He is the most genuine and gentle man in that house.

I am liking Audley more and more by the minute. I hope he keeps his calm demeanour. If he continues like this he’s going to be the winner and deservedly so. Such a lovely man inside and out.

Go Audley all the way, keeping it chilled and cool,
James is just a guy with small dick syndrome, rude and obnoxious with aggressive overtones makes him feel like a big guy if you get my meaning. He is just a small boy with playground tendencies. Give me a man anyday. And that benefit street wannabe tv star needs to go to a finishing school ladette to lady, she is just a meaningless fragment of what is wrong with our society a lazy free roller, me myself I, bullying is the only way she can express herself – Go Gary just step over it!!!!

Audley has now had 3 run ins, James, Kellie & Stephanie & has come up smelling of roses in each one.
He just remains calm & reasonable in every argument, never resorts to name calling or being disrespectful.
    Unlike James & Stephanie.
He has gone up massively in my & I’m sure the public’s estimation.

it must be very difficult for him to keep his cool with the wee chancer prancer dancer James who thinks he is in charge of BB.

one punch from him and Jealous James would be SALSA.

I would really like Audley to win as he seems such a great guy. Not conceited, patronising or nasty as a lot of them in there.

Seems like a lovely, decent, respectful man. Doesnt need to use any excessive swearing to make a point. Calm and thoughtful in his responses to any provocation from other erractic, rude housemates. Genuine in his attachments to the people he seems to respect in the house. Would like Audley to win. Manners, respect and common decency should be appauded. Helen winning Summer BB was an absolute disgrace. Her demeanour, behaviour, language, social skills and interaction were abhorrent yet BB seemed to think that she went on a ‘JOURNEY’. Reverted back to the same disgusting manner of behaviour after she left. Audley is a winner all round.

I also hope he makes the final. I’d never heard of him before as I’m not into boxing but he’s proven to a fantastic housemate. Always polite and the way he dealt with the obnoxious James Jordan showed great strength of character.

Audley remains the calmest, most respectful and generous housemate. I really hope he or Gary (the funniest craziest but also kind hearted) Win.
All the rest aren’t worth the voting fee.

you or Gary to win, the only worthy two in there, struggling to see why the others are there to be honest. Dee, well, my little dog has more celeb status than her, really dislike the woman.

Audley, you become more handsome and beautiful as the others become more distorted and ugly, especially James. The so called discussion you had about his comments about Lauren was cringeworthy, James reminds me of a scared kid in the playground, just watching the hatred in his face as he speaks is well embarrassing for him. . ….. I’d like you to win. Well done you are so dignified it’s amazing.
