Dappy, Liz freed from handcuffs, put up for eviction
N-Dubz rapper Dappy and writer Liz Jones will face the first eviction of Celebrity Big Brother 2014 as a pair after they were freed from their handcuffs in the launch night twist.
During the opening show, the housemates were introduced in pairs chosen by Big Brother, before being locked in shackles by security guards.
Each pair will be bound until further notice, forcing them to live in close proximity, sleep in the same bed – and even go to the toilet together.
The duos were as follows:
- Jim Davidson and Linda Nolan
- Dappy and Liz Jones
- Sam Faiers and Jasmine Waltz
- Lee Ryan and Casey Batchelor
- Ollie Locke and Lionel Blair
- Luisa Zissman and Evander Holyfield
As the first housemates to enter the house, Jim and Linda were called to the Diary Room and told that they’d be given the power to untether pair.
Once the rest of the group had arrived, they returned to the Diary Room, where they were given thirty seconds to make a decision – and, reasoning that they looked a bit stressed, Jim and Linda decided to take the keys for Liz and Dappy’s cuffs.
As a result, Liz and Dappy will now be able to live individually and sleep in the only two single beds in the bedroom. However, their freedom came at a cost, with Big Brother announcing that they will automatically face the first public vote together.
Two more duos will be nominated this weekend, with the eviction scheduled for next Wednesday.
However, host Emma Willis has hinted that there may be another twist to come, teasing: “They will face eviction as a pair, but will they leave as a pair?”
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 10.00pm on Channel 5.
