Sophie Anderton is an English model and reality television personality. She was born in Bristol and rose to fame after appearing in underwear brand Gossard’s ‘girl in the grass’ advertising campaign. She has appeared on shows such as Celebrity Love Island, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Hole in the Wall and Winter Wipeout.
Sophie’s career propelled her into earnings of £30,000 per week and allowed her to lead a lifestyle of parties and drugs. The UK tabloid press reported this in detail, even more so when she became addicted to cocaine.
Her highly publicised downfall started when she was aged 17 after she was told cocaine would keep her looking slim: “I didn’t know what I was doing. Someone offered it to me and told me it would keep me skinny. So I did it.”
Sophie dated former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Bosnich, who was also a cocaine user. Their four year on-off relationship, which finally ended in 2007, became infamous thanks to their public rows. Sophie said: “My relationship with Mark was my lowest point”.
In November 2012 Sophie announced that she was “completely clean of addiction” thanks to the support of the foundation set up following Amy Winehouse’s death. Sophie said: “I am proof you can change your life and I want others to know that, so I am helping other people who are in the same place that I was.”
Sophie started working with the Amy Winehouse Foundation after meeting the late singer’s dad Mitch. She went into schools in London to talk to teenagers about the dangers of drugs.
On her weight, she commented: “I don’t really care nowadays. I couldn’t give two hoots. When I was size 10 I was called obese now I’m size six to eight, my natural weight, people say I’ve lost loads of weight. I couldn’t be happier. In the grand scheme of things what I’m wearing isn’t important. It’s not going to solve world famine.”

Glad Carol called her out for pretending to care about Charlotte, when in reality she was after airtime. In the Youtube clip you could see she didn’t like Courtney ‘intruding’ on her airtime either.
She must think the viewers are stupid not to see through her transparent act, although with the way it’s edited she’ll no doubt get away with it.

People may not like Sophie but she knows what it’s like to be lost and not of control of your mind due to her previous lifestyle and being in rehab something she has not be afraid to talk about and that not easy to do especially in the CBB house, so please give her credit for that. I think so many people think she is down on Lauren but l beleive she clearly understands that Lauren is ill and needs professional treatment from qualified people and not just counselling from her crack pot mother who is not qualified in anything and that lauren should not be in the BB house.
Take the tablet episode with Courtney. I think Lauren is so used to self medicating she thinks that she can give anything to anyone without any consequences. Many people have extreme reactions to some of the most commom medications and at NO TIME should they be handed out freely. What say Courtney did ingest the meds and had a terrible reaction who would be blamed, Lauren of course, and would everyone be so willing to defend Lauren, l don’t think so.
It is very difficult to cope with mental illness both for the care givers, in this case the HM’s and you can say what you like but they have been thrust into a situation of looking out and after Lauren, a person effected with very deep problems. Speak to the parents of anyone in this situation and they will tell you how hard it is and BB expects people with no connection to each other to take this on, it’s extremely hard going. They are not uncompassionate but they are not equipped to handle this kind of situation nor should they be asked to do so. I would like to know if any of the HM’s were consulted about this before entering the house.
If you ask me its Carol who is the S… Stirrer and doesn’t look out for anyone but herself. She really stirred up Lauren to get a reaction and when that happend went back to Sophie and the others to slag Lauren off.
Sophie is allowed to have her opinion and l am glad someone in the house acknowledges the problems with Lauren.
She is stealing Courtney away from Lauren…so that’s a game she’s playing. :conf:

Watching live stream, the whole Sophie/Courtney ‘friendship’ episode happened after Ron’s eviction when Courtney was drunk bored & missing her husband. She was so fed up & bored she was going to start smoking for the first time, even checking the buckets for a cigarette. Sophie stepped in & moved her into the bedroom for a chat. This bit was shown on the main show, where lauren thought they were talking about her. The main show didn’t show Courtney rummaging around for a fag, which was hilariously funny. So Sophie wasn’t trying to steal Courtney from Lauren, just stuck by her for the rest of the night to stop her from taking up smoking. Edited highlights don’t tell the whole story.

Oh Sophie’s a “kill joy”, let her have a fag if she fancies one ( & I’ve never been a smoker). She doesn’t pull the wool over my eyes with her act of being concerned as she doesn’t like Courtney & nominates her.

Yeah her heart was in the right place when she was lying on her back charging wealthy business men 15, 000 for quick 3 minute fumbles as well 😯 😀

Never knew she worked as a prostitute, but it’s easy to find in all the papers and magazines from a few years back.
Unsurprisingly, the fact that she was a working girl, has been scrubbed from her wiki page… how convenient!
@Dr Bob yeah she probably threatened to sue them or something. Cant stand the way she is so high and mighty!! Dont get me wrong, good on her for turning her life around but please dont preach and look down on people when you have a background like that 😯
