The X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has halted former boyfriend MC Ultra from taking part in Celebrity Big Brother 2013, five months after he admitted leaking her infamous sex tape.
Tulisa took the 28-year-old – real name Justin Edwards – to court in July after footage of her engaging in a sexual act appeared online.
He initially denied he was responsible for orchestrating the leak, but later confessed and apologised to the former N-Dubz singer.
Hoping to take advantage of the controversy, Channel 5 was believed to have approached Justin with an offer for CBB. However, as part of their settlement, Tulisa won an injunction against him speaking about the incident – part of which bans him from taking part in reality TV shows.
As a result, her lawers contacted production company Endemol to point out that he is not legally allowed to become a housemate.
A ‘TV insider’ told The Daily Star: “Justin would have been TV dynamite. He’s absolutely livid. The matter with Tulisa is over and it should not stop him building his own TV career.”
However, Justin’s spokesperson hinted that he would have rejected the deal, explaining to The Sun: “Reality TV is not his bag and it is not something he would want to do.”
Tulisa met Justin when she was 17, and dated him for several years before their split in 2009.
Celebrity Big Brother returns for its new series on January 3rd.
