Frankie Dettori’s agent has denied claims that the horse racing jockey is thinking about part in Celebrity Big Brother 2013.
The 41-year-old Italian was linked to the show by The Daily Star on Saturday, who suggested that he was looking for income from TV work after being banned from the sport for six months for taking an illegal substance.
But Pete Burrell – Frankie’s long-term representative – has since rubbished the speculation, adding that Frankie will not be in the UK while it is on air next month.
Talking to the Daily Mail, Burrell commented: “Frankie has no plans to appear on this show. We have not discussed it and I do not imagine we will be discussing it.
“Frankie is out of the country for the next two months and is already looking forward to riding again in May.”
Former jockey and TV commentator John Francome also weighed in, saying: “Frankie will undoubtedly benefit from a proper break from racing after more than 20 years as a jockey.
“The last thing he needs is to be locked away for ages with a load of idiots on this show.”
