Big Brother 2016 - brand new live show set

Endemol Shine UK has officially kicked off auditions for Big Brother 2017 today – while confirming that hopefuls can ONLY apply in pairs for the new series.

Last week, casting producers posted a flyer on social media revealing that they are specifically looking for pairs this year.

And today it emerged that solo auditions will not be accepted whatsoever after the official Big Brother Auditions website was relaunched with a new design.

Wannabe housemates can apply by filling out the form at bigbrotherauditions.com and uploading a 90-second video featuring them and their partner.

Both members of each duo must be aged 18 or over at the time of their first audition, and have the right to reside in the UK.

However, while only joint applications can be made, it is possible that pairs will be split in to solo candidates at a later stage. The homepage of the website states: “Please be aware however that we may proceed with both Applicants or Applicants 1 or 2 individually.”

Fans have speculated that the change to auditions could mean bosses are planning a joint housemate twist for Big Brother 2017, which would see the house filled with pairs competing as single contestants.

The closing date for auditions is Sunday 5th February 2017, with callbacks taking place from later this month.
