Big Brother 2017 live show set

Channel 5 has confirmed it will move another Big Brother 2017 eviction from Friday to Thursday – although the show’s schedule looks set to return to normal in July.

Last week it was revealed that the third boot-out of the series will air on Thursday 22nd June, a change from traditional Friday night eviction slot.

Now C5 has decided to repeat the move the following week.

According to the broadcaster’s latest listings, the fourth eviction will air on Thursday 29th June in a 90-minute special at 9.00pm, followed by Bit On The Side at 10.35pm, and live streaming at 11.35pm.

Friday 30th June will instead feature ‘Best Of Bad TV: Most Shocking Ever’ at 9.00pm, with a regular Big Brother highlights show at 10.00pm.

However, it appears the switch to Thursdays is temporary, with Big Brother expected to revert to its usual schedule in July.

A Channel 5 source told bbspy that Friday remains Big Brother’s usual eviction day, other than the two Thursdays in June. A reason for these exceptions has not been disclosed.

A permanent change is highly unlikely due to planning restrictions imposed by the local authority at the show’s Elstree Studios base.

Hertsmere Borough Council limits Big Brother to holding a maximum of 32 live ‘events’ per year, of which only 14 can be held midweek.

The majority of the midweek events are reserved for the Celebrity version, which holds two evictions per week due to its shorter series lengths.
