Big Brother 2017 house leak reveals major changes (PICTURES)
A photo leak has revealed that the Big Brother UK house is undergoing extensive changes for the upcoming 2017 series – with bosses gutting the main area and demolishing a garden wall.
They show the house in the early stages of construction for this summer’s series – and let slip some key clues about what to expect.
In the main house, most of the walls appear to have been removed, suggesting that its layout will be totally revamped.
Since Big Brother moved to Channel 5, major layout changes have taken place every two years, and the last one happened in 2015.
But even more significantly, two of the pictures reveal that the back wall of the main garden has been knocked down.
The last time such work was carried out was in 2008, when Channel 4 rebuilt the entire back end ahead of Big Brother 9.
This gives fans hope that the shape of the garden – which has been roughly the same since the 2008 rebuild – will be tweaked.
Elsewhere, the Other House – part of an extension to the building for last year’s series – has been gutted of furniture, but has so far not been changed structurally.
One snap also demonstrates how the outdoor set looks between series, with all the LED screens and some of the lighting removed.
Official details about what’s in store for Big Brother 2017 won’t be revealed until nearer its launch – due to take place in June – but the recent auditions hinted at a potential twist.
This year, bosses only accepted applications from pairs of hopefuls, indicating that the new series could be made up of joint housemates.
