Andy is a television journalist who made the headlines himself in late 2015, when he was suspended by the BBC after making a YouTube video in protest at “homophobic and misogynistic” boxer Tyson Fury’s nomination for its Sports Personality of the Year award. At the time he tweeted that he was “ashamed to work for” the corporation.
Andy, who has a boyfriend, believes he is intelligent and he likes people to know that. He reckons his opinions and views are correct and he likes to have them heard.
Him or Georgina will finish 1st this series I believe.
Andy is one of the very few I like this season. I hope he goes far in the game.
He might have a little bit of “celebrity” status by having been a journalist and infamously calling an athlete out for homophobic comments, but at least he’s normal, and doesn’t brag about his “celebrity.”
I really like Andy he is BF material and one of the only nice and stable people in the house
He is likeable, and normal, but for some reason I can’t get enthusiastic about any of them this year. Maybe I will as the series progresses.
The truth really hurt the snake in the grass IMO. Get him out as he’s not even entertaining.
He is finding it hard to cope. I wouldn’t be surprised if he walks.
What was BB thinking, putting an intelligent, rational, logical person in this house of lunatics???
I luv Andy, he’s cool , sexy, intelligent, rational man, who stands out for the right reason…❤️
They are ganging up on Andy because they think he is a potential winner and see him as a threat. They want him out for that reason.
If you can keep your head while all about are losing theirs and blaming it on you, you’re Andy in Big Brother
He’s intelligent but lacks the interpersonal skills to effectively interaction with the Cuckoo’s Nest inmates.
He really doesn’t have a sense of humour either.
He really knows how to stir it! The problem is the housemates can see right through him.
Seems to me he’s one of the only sensible and sane ones in the house.
Yes I agree but could this be a tactical front on his behalf? Also he has caused the most arguments?
I reckon just before the vote off he will stir the pot and try to somehow cause an argument.
Yes, I think he is using tactics to a certain extent. Good luck to him, hope it works.
I think he could win it, level headed, makes a lot of sense, never nasty, pleasant enough chap, …..just wish he’d smile more and had a laugh, but then again he is who he is, if he started laughing & joking at this point that would make him fake so at least he’s staying true to himself, ….descent bloke
I would love to see him win just to see the look of total shock on his face.
I don’t think he’d be totally shocked. He has been saved by the public a few times and he knows what he is doing tactically. I think Hughie would be the one who would be totally shocked. I wouldn’t mind either of these two winning, they both seem nice people in general.
Andy is trying to prod Hughie to get reaction as he knows he is doing well. Housemates have heard the support for Hughie and they’re trying to make him look bad in front of the camera!
I hope Andy doesn’t win! I won’t forget how Andy went around the house in the early stages causing trouble between housemates. Speech said it all on BBbots “I’m the most deserving” get lost Andy. . Hughie is the most deserving! Did anyone notice Hughie was the only one to quote Big Brother in his speech? Shows he’s a fan of the show.
Agreed, what a condescending, patronising “cry baby” is Andy   compared to the humble, kind hearted Hughie
Must say I really do not understand where these claims that Andy is patronising come from. Is keeping a cool head during an argument and actually thinking before you open your mouth now the basis to be labeled patronising? If so I think alot of us could be in a bit of trouble. It must also be said that it must be hard to come across as un-patronising if you’re the only one in a house who is aware that Margaret Thatcher did not in fact invent the iron.
In my opinion, though not an Andy fan necessarily, he’s the only one in that house who acts as though the cameras are not there. He’s the only one who doesn’t act up or throw a tantrum purely for the sake of a bit of airtime. (Though somewhat boring to watch, Alex Cannon was the same). In fact, the only time I’ve seen Andy actually lose the run of himself is when someone tries to take the piss out of what he genuinely believes in/ values – Ryan’s fake proposal comes to mind.
All that being said I really would feel Andy is a deserved winner of the show however I’ll still be voting Hughie.
