Nominations Tally

Nominations are an integral part of the Big Brother format – and with this year’s ‘Power Trip’ theme the show’s set to be more competitive than ever!

Each week, housemates must nominate two of their peers to face eviction, giving satisfactory reasons for their choices. The housemates with the most nominations each week will face the subsequent eviction. The group is banned from discussing and influencing each other’s nominations.

However, with Big Brother putting precious power up for grabs throughout the series, there’s bound to be plenty of twists and turns to the process.

Below we chart the nominations in numbers – check our table page to see who voted for who.

Twists

  • Week 1: On Day 2, ‘Power Housemate’ Pauline granted Helen a pass to the final, meaning she will be immune from every eviction of the series. On Day 4, as housemates nominated for the first time, Pauline was told she’d make one ‘killer nomination’ – with whoever she chose automatically facing every eviction of the series. It was later revealed that she’d given her killer nomination to Jale.
  • Week 2: This week, as the ‘secret Power Housemate’, Chris alone was reponsible for choosing who would face eviction alongside Jale. He picked Pauline, Christopher, Steven, Ash and Marlon.
  • Week 3: Toya was voted the Power Housemate by the group on Day 16, and she chose Matthew to join her in forming the first ‘Power Couple’. Together they picked Christopher to automatically face the third eviction. All other housemates later nominated as normal, but before they did, Toya and Matthew had the chance to cancel three housemates’ nominations. They chose Ash, Marlon and Steven. On Day 18, Toya and Matthew were able to save one of the nominees (excluding Christopher and Jale). They chose Steven, who in return had to put either Toya or Matthew up for the public vote. He chose Toya.
  • Week 4: After the third eviction, Big Brother announced ‘Girl Power’, with the female housemates getting control of the house and immunity for the week. As a result of this, Jale was given a one-week reprieve from her killer nomination. Conversely, all male housemates were automatically put up for eviction. Before the public vote opened, the girls were allowed to save three of the boys. They saved Chris, Marlon and Steven.
  • Week 5: Marlon was originally nominated for this week’s eviction, but he later saved himself as part of the Battery shopping task.
  • Week 6, Day 40: Week 6 saw Big Brother unleash the ‘Armageddon’ twist on the house. This begun with a snap eviction that, for the first time ever, did not involve any form of public vote. Housemates nominated as normal on Day 39, and as the housemate who received the most nominations, Marlon was evicted on Day 40.
  • Week 6, Day 44: Armageddon week concluded with a double eviction. All week, the public voted for which of the three new housemates they wanted to stay, and as she received the least votes, Biannca was evicted. The remaining two newbies, Pav and Zoe, then had the power to evict an original housemate. They chose Danielle.
  • Week 7: This week viewers voted for Ashleigh to become the Power Housemate, and she chose Chris to join her in forming a ‘Power Alliance’. Together they put Steven up for the public vote. Mark then joined the Alliance, and they further nominated Ash, Pav and Zoe. However, despite Big Brother announcing that the Power Alliance were immune from eviction, the four nominees were then given the chance to save one of themselves and put up an Alliance member instead. They chose to save Ash and nominate Ashleigh.
  • Week 8: As part of ‘People Power’ week, viewers were able to vote for one housemate to gain immunity from eviction. Ashleigh received the most votes and was therefore unable to be nominated this week.
  • Week 9: This week housemates nominated face-to-face, with Christopher, Mark and Pav and Winston facing eviction as a result. As part of the ‘Power of Money’ task, the foursome were then able to choose one of the three remaining eligible housemates (Ash, Ashleigh and Chris) to join them. They chose Chris.
