Zoe was catapulted in to the public eye in 2002 at the age of 16 when she reached the live finals ITV talent contest Pop Idol, starring Simon Cowell: “I was the little podgy kid with the dreadlocks”. She was voted off in fourth place, but was the highest placing female contestant.

After Pop Idol, Zoe signed to Simon Fuller’s 19 Recordings, and released her debut single, ‘Treat Me Like A Lady’. Unfortunately it only reached a chart peak of number 12, and she was dropped. She now works in theatre, with credits including Priscilla: Queen of the Desert and Thriller: Live.

Zoe is very close to her “bonkers” family who she credits with keeping her “humble and sane”; she “runs every little thing past them, and if they don’t agree, then I won’t do it”. Since leaving home, she has always lived alone and can’t imagine sharing a house, even if she gets married. She claims she’s the “worst snorer in the world”.

Zoe is passionate about life, describing herself as “a massive joker who lives and breathes music”, “a real life walking Pocahontas”, a “gay man trapped inside a woman’s body” and the British version of Beyoncé. She tries hard not to ever be negative – her mantra is: you’re born and you die and it’s all about the middle bit and what you do with it.”

“Being funny” and having a “good energy which can lift other people’s moods” are Zoe’s best traits. Her worst is that she gets bored quickly and always needs people to bounce off – she has “absolutely no patience” and thinks that could be problematic in the house.

When it comes to men, Zoe has a type; tanned skin, dark hair with tattoos. She had a six-year romance with Big Brother 6 winner Anthony Hutton, but hasn’t had any serious relationships since. Zoe has always been faithful but admits to being the dumper in her relationships.

She gets on best with positive and interesting people who “aren’t in the same business “as her, and would struggle to get on with “beige people” and those who “don’t grab life by the horns”.

Zoe thinks she’ll be a fun, energetic housemate who is full of banter, but although she believes it’s possible she can win Big Brother, she acknowledges it’ll be harder for her joining halfway through: “People have made relationships and the public probably already have their favourites.”

My favourite of the three so far, purely based on what she implied about Kim and Steven

Why do they keep putting people who are semi-celecbrities or have some previous television experience in?

Also why couldn’t they have mixed up the age ranges and characters up a bit?

2 more Essex prats in the house? Brilliant.

Agree ,why can’t we have your regular supermarket worker , bus driver , labourer and people like that and never ever had anything to do with television ,celebrity relationships.
cannot understand the selection made by BB.
    NO SPRAY TANS AND POSERS.

Totally agree with you. I don’t understand BB producers, thaey want us to get the impression that this is not staged and that they are not medling with fixes, why would they not bring people who have no connections to the celebrity world and instead bring people who actually qued for hours to audition (exactly, your girl next door, a teacher, a nurse, super market worker, nanny etc).

You know it’s because of money right? If these up coming celebrities can sell some dirt, then they will be given freebies such as immunity, protection, basically help from BB producers to keep you in as long as possible and put you in covers of magazines to make money even before the show has finished.

Basically the more story you have the better your chances. Ask yourself this question, is it all housemates you have seen on covers of magazines before the show has ended? Who have you seen on the faces of magazines so far???

They’ve probably been coached or at least strongly encouraged about what to say and what not to say.

It’s a concern that so many housemates have media connections, it’s not what you know but who you know.

Actually, after reading a bit about her, she seems alright. My favourite of the 3 (so far).

Usually we are moaning that these types of connections are used to get into cbb – I wonder if cbb will up their game, they can’t have others of similar ilk now surely?? I too wish it would go back to girl/boy next door ppl in the house!

Can’t upset Helen & her posse & eject Stephen, went with the easy option & got rid of Danielle.
    Spineless Z grade no-mark with a rubbish voice 😯

Too cheesy for me, obviously well trained & media savvy, shouldn’t be in there, obviously has a fan base & an unfair advantage on the others.
Has she got a single lined up after the show?
Simply can’t understand why she’s is in there. :conf:

I know that a lot of people seem to like her ..but i find her annoying. Her reactions to certain things seem really over-the-top. 😥
I’m glad her and Pav decided not to get rid Ashleigh, though.

Big brother has been going now for over a decade and there has never been anyone more aware of the cameras or anyone who could work the camera’s like this one. GOD she is good at it aswel.
Bores!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me to death and she is deeper than the ocean.
She hasn’t pulled any wool over my eyes.
I think most of you will have a similar opinion within the next couple of weeks.
ALSO I come from the same area as Zoe, I have never left or received any sort of coaching and she is just totally milking our accent. She needs to calm down a bit, she’s making us sound like a uneducated bunch of savages. All for your votes!!!!! because she knows that people from the northeast normally do well on big brother.
    Don’t let her kid you.
She has had extensive amount of coaching.

Zoe is just a drama queen and the truth is that she is paid by channel 5 as an actress, she is totally fake and the public are falling for all her bullshit.
The drama school who learnt her created a media monster but hopefully the public will open their eyes and see the truth.

Wish she hadn’t sung the whole way through their Bruvstock song – from what i could hear of Ashleigh’s voice, it was nice, it’s just a shame i couldn’t properly hear it because Zoe was singing louder than everyone else

Zoe seems more desperate day by day, she tried Pop Idol but didn’t win. She was given a chance to release a single but was dropped by the record label. Then she tried musical theatre – 2 West End shows Priscilla and Thriller Live but all this is not enough, still fame-hunting! I bet she’ll be in a soap opera next!!

On BBBots tonight, Zoes mother, responding to Matthews accusation that she’s a snake in the grass. She said well she’ll just go back to her career as a singer, Matthew can go back to being Matthew.
She’s actually made an argument for exactly why Zoe shouldn’t be in there in the first place.
Normal, unknown members of the public should be in BB.
People known to the public, for whatever reason should be in the Celeb version.
This series of BB has been a real dogs dinner of twists, rules, rules changing, favouriteism, dropping housemates in the shit, it does your head in.
It shouldn’t be called BB power trip, more like BB backstabber.
Don’t know how old the producer is, but he seems to have a short attention span, constantly messing with the tried & tested format & mixing it up all the time.
It’s no longer BB as we used to know & love it, but a dumbed down, sensationalist, ratings chasing version.
Channel 5 are killing the franchise.
