Matthew says he is a troublemaker, deliberately provocative and is not afraid to voice his opinions. He describes himself as ‘stereotypically feminine’ and ‘camp’ and says he has often been questioned about his sexuality – but he has a girlfriend whom he has been with for 6 years.

He has very strong attitudes towards a number of topics, such as ‘notions of gender role, given it is something that I believe has affected me throughout my life’. He openly admits to wearing makeup including foundation, concealer, eyebrow pencil and sometimes eyeliner.

He thinks his best personality traits are his ‘dry humour’ and his ‘ability to offend people without actually offending them’. Some people find him annoying. which irritates him because ‘if they listened, they’d see there’s more to me’.

Matthew is ‘not the typical 23-year-old Jewish boy, I like the fact I don’t fit in’. He also likes that he is confident; he doesn’t get intimidated and doesn’t second guess himself.

Within his friendship group, he is always the ‘centre of attention, making everything about me’. He is the loudest with the most to say and is the one to ‘stir up the drama’. He thinks his friends would describe him as ‘standalone, loud, vain and pretentious’.

Matthew gets on best with ‘intelligent people with opinions and something to say’. When people don’t have anything to say on a subject, he says he’ll antagonise them and push them for an opinion. He would enjoy tasks where he can prove he’s ‘more intelligent than someone else’.

As a housemate, he thinks he’ll be controversial and a ‘bit of a prima donna and drama queen’.

Totally agree – am glad Ash stayed, but didn’t really have a view on Matthew other than his association with the truly awful Ashleigh which I’m sure contributed to his eviction.

The poll on this site had him leaving with 67% of the vote.

That more than 3 times the votes Matthew had.

The bookies had him at 1/10.

I hope somebody is looking into this because it’s as fishy as it gets.

Matthew had all the personality of a insomniac sloth, so Im not that surprised that he has been evicted. The voters on the phones have always been majority teen girls, so no big wow that Ash is still there. But this might be the worse final to BB ever, with only 1 or 2 likeable HMs in there.

Exactly Violet. This always happens though somewhere along the line if the majoity don’t agree with the outcome. I saw Matthew’s eviction tonight from a mile off and have been telling everyone all week that he will go. However, everyone, especially panels on BBBOTS remained pretty adament Ash would be evicted. This is wat happens when people assume a certain someone will go. That has most likely played a big factor as to why Ash stayed in the house, because people saw it as a clear cut case where Ash would go, no brainer. However, more to the reason Matthew was evicted, I feel it could be to do with the fact Matthew could be a bit of a snake, with his sly, indirect comments about certain housemates, plus he can be a bit of an oddball which british people often find dfficult to take to or understand properly. Also he can appear stuck up and like he thinks he’s the creme de la creme which is also something the british nation cannot sand in a person as we do tend to be very modest about ourselves.

Sorry, but I just cannot pretend I’m shellshocked Matthew was evicted, far too many people assumed Ash would be the fourth evictee and as a result of this probably didn’t pick up their phone.

I hope the next housemate to be evicted is Ashleigh 😀 Have a great weekend everyone!

Mathew was never one of my favourites, but I did admire the way he stood up to the bullies in the house. The worrying thing about Ash staying is that he and Helen and their hangers on may now think that their behaviour is acceptable and supported by the public, who let’s not forget Helen and Ash called c…s not so long ago.

Really sad Mathew went last night. I don’t know how Ash stayed. He has the personality of a dishcloth. I was hoping he would go and that vile Helen would of followed by walking. She needs to go, she is the jailer to the rest of the housemates personalities. They are all scared of her ffs!!!

Let’s be honest, being evicted is the most interesting thing to have happened to him.

To be brutally honest here, I am not surprised or shellshocked one single bit by Matthew’s departure. If you take a re-look at his character i.e. pretentious, snooty, conceited, sneaky, two faced and at time quite arrogant and to top it all off that speech he gave about himself in the diary room which to completely honest didn’t do him any favours or help his case whatsoever. Then look at the fact everyone was goddamn cocksure and adament that Ash would definately be the fourth housemate to be evicted and that he had no chance of being saved against the others, therefore they assumed he would be going and failed to pick up their phone. Finally, some have also been interested in finding out how his and Helen’s friendship develops over the upcoming few weeks and to see if it turns into romance, plus Ash is the housemate who finally brought Helen’s vulnerable, soft, caring, sensitive and sweet side out. I feel without him, she would have had an emotional meltdownand completely cracked psychologically without him standing by her.

I also feel that Ashleigh’s “evil” gameplan to have Ash evicted this week could have also played a major contribution to the amount of votes Matthew received. I mean think about it, she basically solely with Danielle tried to manipulate the public’s mindset to who should go which they definately won’t have taken very well, we do live in a democratic environment where people are free to form their own opinions based on what they see and we all see things from diverse angles. Always at least two or three ways to look at a situation. Now as a result of Ashleigh’s so called plan to ensure Matthew definately wasn’t at risk, all of a sudden the amount of votes would probably double and the public do the opposite of what she wants to happen. Doesn’t end up looking very good for Matthew at this stage does it?

So, after considering all of the above, to me it isn’t rocket science why Matthew became the fourth evictee as opposed to Ash. Maybe some people need to think this through properly, calm down and stop being so pathetic that because the housemate they wanted out stayed in the house they immaturely start screaming and spreading the world “FIX” on the Internet. You need to be extremely careful when throwing that word about as at times there can be a reasonable and logical explanation for a result not quite turning out as expected or predicted on TV Shows like Big Brother. This is something that can also immediately tarnish a show’s reputation without it being thoroughly looked at or inestigated first.

    I rest my case 🙂

I can’t believe Matthew was voted out  he was one of the best housemates! Why on earth did the public kick him out and keep Ash in? 🙁

Not surprised that Matthew went – he was a fairly decent human being ……. which lets be honest, is what we watch BB for.

I was surprised he got boos though? What did he do to deserve that?
