Ashleigh is confrontational and believes she can’t be led into thinking something or having her opinion swayed.

Ashleigh works part time in a boutique clothes shop in Derry. She is also signed to a modelling agency and does modelling work in her free time. Her dream job would be to become a well-known model, ‘but I know the chances of that are slim’. She would also love to set up her own events management and wedding planning business.

Ashleigh has always lived in the same area, and currently resides on a council estate, which is one of the factors she says gives her the drive to push further in her career. She spends her money on clothes, shoes and her dog Gucci. She is a vegetarian and is a big fundraiser for a re-homing centre for cats and dogs due to her love of animals.

Ashleigh would rather have love than money because ‘you always see celebrities who have enough money to feed the world and they’re unhappy’. Her worst trait is that she talks about herself too much – her mum and boyfriend are always telling her off about it. She also says she sometimes forces her opinions on others. She is pro-abortion and has strong views which are generally not accepted among her community.

A typical weekend would be seeing her boyfriend or a friend on Friday night, shopping on Saturday and clubbing in the evening, then lazing around on Sunday. She is fortunate enough to ‘not really suffer from hangovers’.

As a housemate, Ashleigh thinks she’ll be ‘young and bubbly’, but people sometimes refer to her as ‘airy fairy’ which she thinks could annoy older people in the house. If there were any arguments in the house, she would ‘always be on the side of the underdog’.

Ashleigh wouldn’t get on with lazy people, unhygienic people and those who don’t clean up after themselves. She also wouldn’t like bullies or people who would make her time in the house hard.

Ashleigh says if she won Big Brother she would donate some of her winnings to charity, buy a nice car and take her family on holiday somewhere sunny.

When the girls had the power, Ashleigh played the game and I think that is what Helen fans are clinging onto.. They hate her because she wanted to disrupt the status quo of the house and get Ash out, which in turn would’ve annoyed Helen! Helen fans seem to think that since the crowd chanted Ashleigh’s name that week, Helen is unstoppable. However, I think the tears from Helen (twice this week now) are because she’s realised Ashleigh is liked by the public because they voted her power housemate.. Game over Helen

I sincerely hope so. Helen is the most abusive – then passive aggressive then totally abusive housemate that I have seen in ANY of the Big Brother series (UK or otherwise)
Many people speculate that my opinions, some of John Kanes and others are posted purely to condemn Helen, and that every viewers vote counts. I think we are beyond that now.
Ashleigh may hug her soft toy……..it must have sentimental value for her maybe a gift from her Mum or her boyfriend….so what, if it gives her comfort? I would rather have a houseful of Ashleigh’s than the sewer rat that Helen repeatedly show herself to be, why oh why channel 5 – play fair ??? !!! – Helen can not even admit her own comments then predictably turns on the tears. BB is the biggest liar in the house and Ashleigh is used as scapegoat. Ch5 should be ashamed of themselves.

@Jane Shepherd To be honest my feeling have gone beyond Helen now.

I just want to know why?

Why do the producers do everything in their power to protect Helen and torture the people she dislikes.

There is something quite disturbing going on, my only hope is that one day the truth comes out.

I’m certain it won’t be pretty.

Cheers and positive chants I hope. I’d also like to hear ‘Helen is a bully!’ as louds as possible but not as chanting, wait til it’s quiet and then shout loud so it doesn’t get stopped/moved away.

Don’t chant for Steven, leave his until he walks through the door on his way out!!

Absolutely – its too much to hope for silence whenever they go live into the house.
But it does give the housemates a clue, which this year has been to the detriment of decent housemates. – Argyll who posts regularly on here had some friends that attended an eviction night and they were forced to move away by BB

I hope Ashleigh can carry the momentum she’s gained this week all the way through to the final and win.

I feel like it would genuinely be a victory for good versus evil.

And also, kind of a victory for all us genuine Big Brother fans who detest what the producers are trying to achieve this series.

Do you mean Ash – because he has been saved from eviction or do you mean Ashleigh, hence your post?

    @Sue @Aj

When was she ? -surely you can see only that she is human, since Danielle has gone this young girl has proven her worth. She has only been ‘sly’ because of the games/tasks give the girl a break.

  13. John Kane says:

She is probably the 2nd LEAST sly person in the whole house. After Winston who is a bit too dim to be sly.

All the rest of them are just as bad if not worse than Ashleigh.

I’d love to see her win this series.

she stuck to toya like glue and was influence by her and slagged helen down to the ground, then toya left, asheigh then clung to danielle slagged helen off and sat around moaning complaining bitching, then danielle left ……. Now ashleigh doing helens hair and crawling around her. Wow ….. What a turn up for the books

if she hates helen so much lets face it folkes ashleigh was part of the hate helen club ….. Why is she gettin all friendly with helen now …… Fake bitter girl and she looks aaaaaawful without makeup euw. Mark to win

I like Ashleigh but I must admitt her doing Helen’s hair on tonight’s show was very uncomfortable to watch because I detest Helen. I definitely don’t think their new found friendship is genuine; I think it’s more of a case of keep your friends close and enemies even closer! And I actually think that Helen has accepted Ashleigh now because she has her sights set on a new victim- Pav.

    @John – NOT john Kane

Ashleigh is 18 she listened to Toya ( perhaps too much Toya was/is also a bully in that she thinks if she overrides anyone else she is heard better) and for that I was never a fan of Toya.
Im not playing a sympathy vote on Asghleighs age either, she then was dragged into spending time with demonic virgin Danielle because Danielle needed an ally and recognised that Ashleigh had more popularity than she did, – since then Ashleigh has flourished and if you are making your judgement because Ashleigh plaited Helens hair…..

Then take another look at how many people have had Helen as their hairdresser ??????
Ridiculous to base your opinion on that – look beyond and give the girl a chance Helen is 27 and a despicable liar.
Ashleigh at 18 has more maturity and integrity – she has only ‘lied’ when doing BB tasks and IMO has been let down badly by both housemates and BB itself.

  19. John Kane says:

@Jane Shepherd This is where so many people don’t understand how society works. Just because Ashleigh does not like Helen does not mean she can’t be civil to her.

    They’re locked in a house together 24/7.

That is what any truly evolved, civilised person would do. It makes her own, and everybody else’s life in there easier.

It’s far better to be like Ashleigh than like Helen, stomping around, effing and blinding, intimidating, isolating and generally making everyones life miserable.

Ashleigh understands how civilised society operates. Helen does not. This is likely why Helens real life has been such a monumental car crash.

When toya left she was still nasty moany negative bitchy sour faced. She aint that innocent she 18 got her own mind. then when everyone was chanting get ashleigh out she changed her ways and became quiet. you all look at her with makeup on and her hair extensions and think she cute .:…. She a wolf in sheep clothing sorry beauty isnt even skin deep with her cos without makeup shes a spotty miserable cow. iits all in the eyes and that girl is a dark horse

The producers are very clever. They think they are going to appease the public (who were rightly outraged when Ashleigh was fed to the wolves AGAIN last week) by giving us the power to save her from nominations this week.

However, if Ashleigh IS saved, then she does not get to nominate, which means it will be one less person nominating Ash.

It is clear from the public reaction and all of the on-line polls that even IF up for eviction, Ashleigh would be safe, so this is a pointless exercise.

It’s just a way for the producers to minimise the nominations for Ash. Soooo transparent.

If they were really interested in giving the public some power, and giving the fans what they want, they would give us the power to remove Helen’s final pass.

    Neeeeever gonna happen.
