Contract manager Aaron Allard-Morgan has been voted the winner of Big Brother 2011, scooping the £50,000 jackpot prize.
The 30-year-old was the second favourite to triumph with bookmkers and led several online opinion polls throughout the week. He also came top in the public vote each of the four times he faced eviction.
Despite this, he faced a negative reception from tonight’s crowd. “They don’t seem happy,” he quipped when host Brian Dowling told him it was time to leave the house.
In his interview, the long-term fan of the show said that he didn’t expect to make the final ‘in a million years’, and said living in the house was ‘a lot harder than watching it on TV’.
Although he admitted he was ‘stroppy’, Aaron insisted that he didn’t have a gameplan. “No, not at all, I just came here to be myself,” he commented. “If you come in and act in a stroppy way, that’s not gonna win you any fans, is it? I don’t think that’s really a gameplan.”
Discussing love interest Faye, he said he hopes they’ll make a proper couple: “She’s really funny, she’s really entertaining, and she makes me happy and she’s gorgeous, so I feel like a lucky boy.”
Brian then asked him about his relationship with Jem, to which he responded: “I felt kind of comfortable, cos I thought, if she’s Faye’s sister she’s gonna be a nice person, so I wasn’t worried about it.
“But then she told me in the garden that I wasn’t fun, interesting, entertaining, had no talent, and she didn’t know why I was here, and I was like, oh, OK.”
Aaron said meeting Faye was the best part of his experience, adding that he’d spend his winnings on his son.
After watching his best bits, Aaron then headed back out in to the crowd to enjoy more fireworks and confetti, while holding the briefcase from the living room containing his prize.

Can you people look at the poll to your right? And the polls on all the other Big Brother sites, including Digital Spy, the most reputable? Aaron was tipped for winning all week. There’s no way this is a fix. Just because he wasn’t your choice doesn’t make it a fix. Ridiculous!

He became intriguing to the audience because he could be both most loved and most hated. And when these two factors combined, he became extraordinarily popular, as the votes showed consistently every week.
Aaron was completely aware that he was playing a game. Every year people seem to criticize others for “playing the game”, but here we have someone who actually decides to take advantage of this fact instead of trying to pretend as though it doesn’t exist. He became endearing to people as a result.

Yeah I have seen all the papers and they dont care about anyone but Aaron it is like the man is choosen by the papers but he was fun to watch and is a worthy winner no doubt loads of girls I know fancy him so hope he gets a tv show lol.
I think what some people don’t realise is that there is only a small sample of people in the crowd, and that shouldn’t speak for the population. So he may of been booed by the crowd, but that’s because there were obviously more fans of other housemates (Jay in particular) in attendance. Lets keep in mind there were two Newcastle people in the final, and the two Newcastle housemates were the ones who received the most cheers.
Aaron was consistently praised and supported all week on Bit on the Side. He has received the most votes in every other eviction he was apart of, and forums and websites such as this, had him polled as the favourite to win. He was 2nd in the bookies, but that doesn’t always tell the truth. (Let’s not forget Jedward were tipped as favourites to win CBB and then Paddy won.)
I know this probably just sounds like another Aaron fan (which I am) but I still refuse to believe it is fixed. I did predict that Alex would win and was shocked when she was announced 3rd.
It wasn’t just the crowd that was booing the housemates were aswell shocking! All housemates get booed that the pantomine, but get with it people the boos 4 arreon could be heard as far as manchester-according 2 bb polls they don’t fix polls u know! arreon lucky winner if channel five had opted for vote to evict from first week he defo would have gone way back. Watched bb from first year and I’m tellin u that if vote 2 save was what channel 4 had done then we probaly would b looking at winners like jade goody, charly, victor and the like, because what u got 2 realise is the housemates that sway opinion would get evicted cos they caused 2 much fervour amongst viewers. Arreon would have gone a while back. I agree we will get more winners like him pity! Big up to channel 4 u knew how to handle which was once a great show. Am so disappointed that that je won. whether it was fixed or not, the fact that i voted for alex over 200 times, and all my family, friends and workmates should at least indicate that something is up. yeh nasty nick has always been remembered but im comforted by the fact that he never won. aaron never deserved to win, and for him to end up wjth £60k when alex willnever even make that kind of money, even after bb is a crying shame. k wouldnt be surprised if aaron and his mates havent studied the voting system and came up with a plan before he went in.

Channel 5 has tucked us all up and i am still fuming !!! He was not at all entertaining, he was a moody little shit, is he related to the boss ? If the voting was fair how come so many people are complaining to ofcom ?
Arron is not an actor, mole,gameplayer, or related to any one in production. As he proudly keeps tellin us he was just being himself! That makes me feel even more pity towards him! He didn’t even thank the people that voted 4 him! The man is a jerk. I think the gullible fools that voted 4 him should b named and shamed!
I think Alex and Jay had more fans that Aaron but Aaron’s fans were more passionate about him winning so they voted multiple times, Alex and Jay fans did not care enough to vote for him/her enough times.

CH5BBUK I agree with you, end of, I’ve voted on every poll on different forums for Aaron, I voted for him 3 times everytime been up and 5 in final, he played the GAME and won, we will never know what any of those people in house are really like on the outside when they being themselves so why everyone hating
Oh and just to top it off, all the people commenting on Aaron atleast spell his name bloody right, its all over the page to copy, goes to show what kind of people you are if can’t even be bothered with a thing like a name.

What was the reasoning behind BB suddenly changing the rules and giving the winner £50,000 instead of the £100,000?? Maybe something to do with knowing the outcome?? Sure lots of people noticed how protective of his £50,000 case of money Aaron was during his interview – first thing he did was move it to the back of his seat in case he was robbed by someone in the “great British public”!! Yuk .. Complete fix. Shame on Ch.5.

Officially done with BBUK. That was the last stray. This is a GREAT EMBARRASSMENT FOR THE BRITISH PUBLIC if u ask me, and im not British.
The thing about BBUK i always liked is when it all comes down to it it’s never about the money, winning BBUK (to me) has always been a stamp of approval for the person that wins. Basically the public saying “I like you, ur a great person inside and out… keep on being who you are”.
Are people honestly saying that they approve of Aaron’s behavior in that house? It’s absolutely despicable. It reflects badly on all BB fans.

Aaron was leading every BB related forum poll since week 5….towards the end he was getting 60-70% polls. The casual TV viewer are so out of touch what is really happening behind the scenes on the Internet …with Twitter, Facebook, BB Message Boards and Forum fan bases
Anyone with a half a brain cell….knew that Aaron was so far out front, it wasn’t funny…if you based it on Fan bases & Polls. He was the most talked about Housemate by a country mile!!!
Any other result, and it would have led to an Ofcom investigation as BB were handling public money for votes.
Aaron won, because the public were sick of Endemol’s obvious bias with their official Tweets, BB articles…and using OKTV and BBOT as their tools to do a hatchet job on Aaron.
Endemol went into panic mode after week 5 when Aaron surprisingly topped the Eviction poll and defeated one of their favourites Jay.
The obvious biases against Aaron…..is what won him the crown…many people voted for Aaron not because they were die-hard fans, but more to stick it to Endemol Producers in trying to manipulate the outcome.
Note….Aaron was the only BB contestant to NOT sign an “Outside Talent” contract….i’m sure that pissed off the Endemol Producers too….as that indicated that Aaron wasn’t interested in being used as a pawn for future BB related shows or promoting them!
Don’t mess with the public…….I hope Endemol learnt a harsh lesson and show better impartiality….including their presenters like Brian Dowling, Jenny Frost, Jeff Brazier, Jamie East, Alice Kline….and the rigging of those BBOT guest panels!
He won because his fans voted for him!!! Simple as that!!! So why wonder????? Did you vote for who you wanted to win?? Probably not!!! If yes, you only voted once!

The Bookies have got ti wrong so many times this series…as they don’t have a handle on mulit-Facebook voting. It’s not the number of fans that count, it’s the number of votes bought.
Aaron appealed to 30+ crowd, particularly Females….they are the heavy hitters when it comes to spending money of voting as they tend to have more disposable income then the Teenagers & 20′s fans that supported Jay & Alex.
The “vote to save” and the multi-Facebook voting meant it took away the power from the “Chavs” voting block…hence BB has gotten away from stereo bimbo dumb blonde winners (Sophie Reade or josie Gibson) or general likeable dumbos like Brian Belo.
A normal regular guy now has a chance of winning BB…hence Aaron win.

Am absolutely gobsmacked at all the responses of fix fix fix. I can understand if people did not like him, fair enough, although some of the descriptions of him did not match what I saw at all, but to say it is a fix is ridiculous.
When all the presenters and production staff were so anti Aaron why on earth would they rig it so he won?
He won because more people voted for him than any other HM – pure and simple.
And whether you liked him or not he was the most talked about HM of all good or bad. If you look at the forums every day 90% of posts were about Aaron and ironically most of the anti Aaron fans seems to spend all their time talking about Aaron rather than whoever they were supposed to be supporting.
People actually think it was a fix, when all shows like this are monitored for foul play? If they had fixed it they never would have chosen Aaron to win!

Agreed Alma….Aaron had lots of male support too in the over 25′s grouping….me included. To me he was a normal polite,well-mannered,honest without any vile habits…he wasn’t vulgar, didn’t swear…..all the human traits I appreciate and can identify with.

He knew the difference between a toilet and a fridge; he didn’t have to ‘act’ stupid to try to win fans; and, he didn’t have to become a leech to someone who the HMs assumed would be a favorite.
To me, he was the most captivating HM to watch episode after episode and clearly carried the series. All I can say is “Well done, Aaron!!!… and well done public for getting it right!”

Aaron was full of complexities..a multi-layered personality, that even Emma Willis could not figure out in their interview. That is was made him intriguing to TV Viewers that had half a brain!!

Also there was no live feed so those who voted for him couldn’t see his true self (unlike us) they proberly needed more footage! Another reason could be that a lot of hardcore bb fans did not watch channel five bb because of changes to the show which spoilt it. Channel five got what they wanted a safe show, no risks, only one new housemate (fays sister gem) 14 average housemates and a boring winner who in any other year would have got no where near the final! The only year he might have got near the final would have been bb4 remember that one!
