bbspy

About Us

bbspy is the UK’s number #1 unofficial website for the reality TV show Big Brother.

We launched on 19th May 2006 – one day after Big Brother 7 begun – and in the eight years since, we have covered twenty series of the UK version (including spin-offs), building a sizeable userbase thanks to our reliable coverage and passionate support for the show.

Despite Channel 4’s decision to axe Big Brother in 2010, it proved to be one of our biggest years. During the broadcaster’s final series, we were first to break several key stories, quickly gaining a large following on Twitter as a result.

After it concluded, rumours were rife that Channel 5 were in talks with producers Endemol for the rights to the format. During this period of uncertainty, bbspy was the only major fansite to remain open and constantly updated with each development.

In the years since, with Big Brother now firmly established as C5’s flagship programme, we have remained at the forefront of unofficial Big Brother coverage. As you can see in the clip above, potential housemates follow bbspy before entering the house to get a taste of what’s in store for them – and in January 2014, the UK’s leading national newspaper The Sun cited us as a source for one of their lead TV stories.

Although bbspy is not endorsed by or affiliated with C5 or Endemol, the companies have recognised us as a trustworthy source for Big Brother information, and have rewarded us with unparalleled behind-the-scenes access.

In September 2013, when the BBUK house was opened to the public for the first time, we were the only fansite invited to the gala launch party attended by former civilian and celebrity housemates. In June 2014, ahead of the fifteenth series, we then became the first fansite ever to be granted an exclusive tour of the redesigned house before launch night.

Summer 2014 promises to be as jam-packed as ever, with another Celebrity edition following the civilian run in August. We’ll also be bringing you the latest on BBUK’s future under C5’s new owner Viacom, as well as expanding our sections for international versions of the show.

Thanks to everyone who’s helped on the site over the years, and of course to you and all our other visitors and followers – we wouldn’t be here without you!
