bbspy

bbspy is the UK’s number #1 unofficial website for the reality TV show Big Brother.

The site, which is run by a team of dedicated BB fans, launched on 19th May 2006 – one day after Big Brother 7 begun. In the five years since, we have covered ten series (including spin-offs) and amassed a sizable userbase, which brings us tens of millions of hits each year.

Although Channel 4 decided to axe the show after its eleventh and final run in 2010, it proved to be our biggest year yet. As you can see from our video above, the eventual housemates used bbspy to keep up to date with all the goings on before they went in to the house!

Once they were locked up and the series had begun, we were first to break several key stories, and we quickly gained a large following on Twitter as a result.

After it concluded, rumours were rife that Channel 5 would buy the rights to the format. During this period of uncertainty, bbspy was the only major fansite to remain open and constantly updated with each development – and eventually, the broadcaster announced a two-year deal with Endemol.

As a result, Big Brother will be back on our screens in August 2011 – and of course we’ll be here to keep you up to date with all the latest news and gossip!
